The James family is making a major move after Spencer decides to retire and uproot back to California, which causes the entire family to face some serious adversity.
"Daddy, can you make more pancakes? Mom always makes enough for seconds." Skyler says and Shai agrees with a head nod.
"Can I have some more too, Uncle Spencer?" Loyal asks and I yawn as I mix more batter.
"I got y'all!"
"This time can it be cinnamon like mommy makes them?" Shai questions.
"I got it," I mumble and they just watch me.
"I'll get the lemonade. Mommy usually pours that first." Skyler says and I take a deep breath.
"Maybe your mom should be here."
They all look at me in confusion by the tone in my voice and I instantly regret my words.
"Are you okay, daddy?" Shai asks and I nod as I take another look at my phone to see no missed calls or text messages from my wife.
"Yeah... I'm just tired," I tell her, which is partially a lie.
I'm really worried that something's not right. My wife has contacted me in what feels like forever.
"Is mommy going to call?" Skyler asks.
"She better," I say as I pour the batter on the griddle.
"Apparently, the party was really wild last night since everyone is still asleep," Owen says as he walks into the kitchen spryly. "And what's even more apparent is that mommy is having a great time too."
"You talked to your mother?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"No, but some lady tagged her at dinner yesterday," he answers nonchalantly.
"Let me see," I say and he hands me his phone nonchalantly. __________

I examine the picture and my wife looks extra fine in yellow. But most importantly, she looks happy, which slightly eases the anxiety I'm currently having.
"Is that it?" I ask.
"Daddy is currently cyber stalking his mommy," Shai announces, making Owen laugh and I ignore them as I click onto the woman's Instagram story.
There's pictures and videos of the girls in the club, but she doesn't show my wife during those moments. Maybe Liv didn't go to the club.
"It's just some vids and pics at a club or whatever," Owen mumbles in between bites of the cereal he just poured.
"Eww... is mommy young enough to go to clubs?" Shai says disgustedly and I chuckle.
Leave it to my babies to make me laugh when I really want to scream.
