Spencer's POV
"Bro, the flight was horrible—- between Loyal farting and the man on the other side of me smelling like garlic!" Darnell says as he pops into the kitchen where I'm warming up some leftovers.
He's fresh out of LAX. Him and my nephew flew in for the weekend to celebrate the big twins birthday.
"Jayda and Liv should be back any minute now," I tell him as my sister Lauren walks into the kitchen.
"What did I get myself into?" She asks as she points upstairs.
"I don't know. But I love you for it." I say and she rolls her eyes.
She's agreed to be one of the chaperones at the twins hotel pajama pre-game tonight. It's mainly siblings and cousins, but we let them extend their sleepover invites to some friends as well.
"A bunch of kids in a hotel without their parents! That's something I would never agree too." Darnell says before they greet each other with a hug.
"Yeah, but I'm committed now," she says as she looks at her watch. "Dillon's already at the hotel."
"Your only job is to keep Summer away from J.R.," I say lowly as I hear the front door open.
"Ahh— is that his name? Is that why I saw her packing lingerie?"
My eyes grow wide as fifty-cent pieces. "You saw what?"
Lauren laughs and I don't see the humor.
"Hell no! Wha—," Darnell adds as he stands to his feet, seemingly ready for war.
"I—m jo—king! It's— a—- jo—-ke!" She yells in between hard laughter and I still don't see the humor.
"You were about to get this whole weekend shut down!" I say and she laughs more.
"What's so funny?" My wife asks before seeing her and Jayda walk into the kitchen with snacks for the kids tonight.
"Lauren wants me to go to jail for killing Jason Robinson," I answer and Darnell laughs along with Lauren.
"Spence was just saying how he needs Summer and J.R. on tight radar tonight," Darnell adds before the doorbell rings.
"Awww—-that's no fair! I remember my high school crush—," Jayda counters with a smirk and that's exactly why I don't want my sister to take her eyes off of them.
"Exactly! And if she's anything like your wild ass, then I know I'm going to jail." I comment and she sticks her middle finger up as everyone laughs.
"Don't think about it like that," my wife calms me with cheek kisses. "We raised Summer to be a respectable young woman. She won't do anything to change that."
"Besides, why is no one talking about SJ, Omari or Owen—- they're the real threats here!" Lauren questions defensively and Liv shrugs in agreement.
"Owen is innocent— those other two are slick like their daddy!" My wife says with an innocent chuckle.
"Owen ain't innocent, some girl he likes is coming to the sleepover tonight." Darnell counters.
"Weird, because I'm the only girl my baby boy likes and I won't be there."
The kitchen laughs at Liv's word, but she's serious.
"That ain't what I heard him say when I walked past to put my bags in the guest room," Darnell says sincerely.
"Don't think about it like that," I mock her voice and she laughs. "We raised Owen to be a respectable young man. He won't do anything to change that."
