Spencer's POV

"You sure you got to go this weekend?" I ask as I kiss my wife.

"I love you, but I deserve every last second of this trip. And you know it!" She answers as I slide my hand down her sweatpants and touch her spot.

"Stop!" She groans as she removes it.

"It's my old college friend's bridal shower. And Brittany expects me to be there. Especially, since I'm a bridesmaid."

"I like Brittany, but I love you. And I need you right here when I wake up in the morning." I say and she giggles as I pat her side of the bed.

Maybe, I am being dramatic. But I haven't let her too far out of my sight since the attempted robbery, and I'm really not ready for her girl's weekend in Vegas. Even if it does mean I get to hang out with Darnell and the kids all weekend.

"Well, that's not an option this weekend," she says before we're interrupted by Skyler.

"Daddy, Omari doesn't know how to fix his tie." She yells as I stand up and fix my own.

"Where's Uncle D?" I ask her and she points to the guest room down the hall.

"You know him and Jayda are working on baby number two," Liv says as she giggles.

"This ain't no damn motel," I joke and Skyler giggles as if she knows what I mean.

"He said to hurry before Teyonna gets here."

"Bye, Sky!" I say and she runs off, making me shake my head and smile.

"Let me go make sure Summer's dress is on and her make-up is done," Liv says. "You get the boys together."

Tonight is the Spring Fling dance at Crenshaw. And Darnell and I will be chaperoning.

"Mom," I yell as walk out of my room and search the top floor for my mom.

She's watching Skyler, Shai and Owen tonight.

"In here," she says before I walk into the last room on the left.

"I can't ever get the handkerchief straight as you," I tell her and she stands to fix it.

"You look so handsome. It reminds me of prom."

"I know, right?" I say and she kisses my cheek before I walk out. "Let's go boys."

"My tie," I hear Omari yell from his room and I walk inside to see him struggling.

This isn't his first dance. But this is his first in high school. Somehow, he sweet-talked an upperclassman into asking him.

"I can't believe my baby is going to a high school dance," I say as I fake cry, making him laugh as I fix his tie.

"Please stop."

The doorbell rings and his eyes grow wider as I finish his tie.

"Be a gentleman. Open doors. You know the rules." I tell him.

"You need to be talking to SJ. Not me." He replies and I chuckle.

"I'm just going to pray for SJ's date. That boy is a lost cause." I joke as I stand back and stare at my big baby with pride.

"C'mon dad, stop!" He blushes as we walk out to greet his date.

"Remind me again, which knucklehead wants to take my daughter to the dance." I ask Summer from a distance.

"Really, daddy! It ain't J.R. so I thought you'd be happy."

"You two, please!" Kia says.

"Not tonight!" Liv adds and I shake my head.
