Once upon a time, there was a beautiful Crown Princess.

Her name was Kagami. Kagami meant "Mirror" in Japanese.

She was the most beautiful Princess in the world. But she had a less than beautiful side to her nature.

On the inside she was as twisted as a hangman's noose!

She was a wilful girl who thought that she was the centre of the universe, that every toy, every man, everything was hers to own.
What nobody told her was that the centre of the universe was a big black hole!

Like a god, Kagami worshipped her father, because every day he spoiled his little angel with silver and gifts. Her father was tired from working in a foreign country, which meant that she could treat her parents like slaves and get away with it.

And whenever someone wasn't saying "Yes" to one of her demands, whenever someone wasn't friendly or pleasant with her, whenever someone wasn't even paying attention to her, oh, she would scream and cry, she would throw a tantrum.

And that was how Kagami got anything and everything she wanted.

One day, Kagami was reading her favorite book when when father entered the room. She threw her book down  and burst into crocodile tears. 'Oh, Daddy,' she cried, fluttering her moist eyes, 'have I done something to upset you? Is that why you haven't given me a present today?'

Her father grimaced with embarrassment. ''The thing is, angel, Daddy's work's a little bit difficult at the moment. I have to help my family.''

Kagami's face turned beetroot red.
"Oh, you will pay for this travesty!" She screamed. "You will rue the day you said no to me!"

She then spoke to her servants, and gave a terrible command:

"Go and destroy the foreign kingdom Daddy works in. I want to see it burn".

Her servants went into the foreign kingdom, and burned it to the ground.

No one was spared, as they were all executed on the spot.
To quote this poem which describes The Siege of the Foreign Kingdom pretty well:
They held each other close then turned their backs upon the end
The hills that split asunder and the black that ate the skies
With flames that shot so high and hot that even dragons burned
Would never be the final sights that fell upon their eyes
A fly upon a wall, the waves, the sea wind, that whipped and churned
The city of a thousand years and all that men had learned
The Doom consumed it all alike and neither of them turned.

"Told you. You should have given me a gift!" She said.

The following day was the worst of the family's life.

Kagami woke at six a.m. and decided to make her family's life a misery.
'I want breakfast in bed,' she yelled through her bedroom wall. When it didn't arrive she threw a tantrum until she got 2 boiled eggs and soldiers. 'I want a dog!' She yelled when they went for a walk in the park. But when her mother refused to kidnap one on the spot, Kagami stole one but it attacked her. '
"I want to go to the cinema!'' She hollered.
When her mother refused, she screamed.
Kagami got her way every time: in the cinema, she skipped queues in order to get popcorn; on the bus home she wrote a note to make the driver stop outside a dress shop; and in the shop, she resorted to stealing so she could take home three pretty party dresses. By the time the family reached home, her mother was so exhausted that she fell asleep on the sofa and forgot to read her daughter a bedtime story. After waiting in bed for ten minutes, Kagami came downstairs in her dressing gown, tried to wake her mother up, and when she couldn't, she kicked her in the tummy.

This was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The next day, Kagami got a video recorder.

She was a Princess, so she could do anything she wanted and to prove it she issued a threat against the world.

'Hello,' she said, looking directly into the camera with a wild-eyed intensity. 'This is The Evil Princess here. My needs are small, but your danger is huge, so you better comply my command. Unless I receive a table-top map of the world, I shall make my servants use a  helicopter, and pour gasoline all over the earth and throw a match onto it. And then you will all be cooked up from good.  You have one hour to accede to my request. Goodbye."

A minute later, there was a reply:

'We do not negotiate with terrorists.'

And this was when it all went wrong.

Believing that she had the power to make the earth pay, Kagami cried:

"I am the Evil Princess! And I shall have what I want!"

Here we go!

***

Meanwhile, the entire kingdom was plotting Kagami's downfall.

A coup started.

The people were coming for Kagami's head!

***

Kagami was sitting on her throne when the coup rushed in.

"Surrender!" they said.

"How dare you show much disrespect?!" Kagami said.

And then she was dragged off.

***

In a prison cell, Kagami languished, stripped of her fine clothes, her dignity and her title.

Once the wealthy princess of a kingdom, now a prisoner to die. What could she be thinking in her jail cell?

At three o' clock it was time for Kagami to get executed.

As she was led to a guillotine and slid in, Kagami looked to the former king and queen (her parents) who had also been overthrown, and they were also sentenced to be executed after her.

"I'm sorry..." she said, and she closed her eyes and smiled.

The blade came down, and Kagami's head was severed right off.

The severed head fell into the basket that had been placed below the guillotine.

And that was the end of Princess Kagami, which rather neatly proves that you can't have anything you want even if you're the heir to the throne.
