Night's point of view

"We have a problem."

"Duh, I can see the rock too Pinky." I responded dryly "I'm not blind."

It had been at least a few hours since I had agreed to let the Espeon help me get back to my trainer and I was very unimpressed with how he was doing thus far. We were tired, cold, and completely lost in every sense of the word and I was in the mood to blame someone.

As you may have heard the route that we were meant to take was blocked by an obnoxiously obtuse boulder that almost looked like it was purposely placed there by some devious god to play with us, and I wasn't in the mood to be messed with.

"There's no need for the attitude…" mumbled the Espeon.

"There isn't? Cus… I recall you trying to crack my mind so I think I get a little break." I replied with annoyance.

The psychic sighed "I apologized."

"I know… but I still get to complain." I moaned as I pressed a paw against the intrusive rock "Damn rock… freaking-"

"Calm down and think alright?" spoke the Espeon as he looked around "We need to figure something out."

"Can't you just, like, move it?" I mentioned.

"How?"

"With your…" I gave a series of mystic motions with my paws "…psychic stuff."

The pink furred Pokémon looked at me like I was an idiot "You can't be serious… that rock is a couple of tons, I'm far from being able to even nudge that, moving it is out of the question."

I sighed "Fine… but can we at least rest for a bit?"

His ears perked up "You're tired?"

"Exhausted."

The Espeon flashed a quick smile "Sure, but I didn't peg you as the type to take naps."

I raised a brow "Maybe that's something you missed when you scanned my noggin."

A dull pounding noise entered my ears, drawing my interest. From the look that the Espeon was giving me it was clear that he too what hearing it. It pounded again and seemed be coming from a source behind that boulder that was blocking our path.

"I sincerely hope this isn't what I think it is." Uttered the Espeon as he took a step back.

The pounding got much more audible and the rock jumped a bit, dislodging some of the dirt that caked it.

"Do you mind if I ask what you think it is?" I inquired as my heart rate increased.

Another pounding followed "If I'm right, you'll see in-"

Before my ex-captor could finish his statement the boulder before us was bashed apart. Pieces of rock shot pass us and I closed my eyes to keep them safe from the cloud of dirt that followed the death of our dearly departed boulder.

My legs shook in terror as I yelled "The Mew is this?!" The dust cloud steadily lowered giving me the chance to see what caused the events I had just encountered. As my vision sharpened I became aware of a large hulking figure looming over me.

"Night move!" shouted the Espeon.

Through the dirt cloud I saw a large mass approaching me. My instincts kicked in and I rolled to the side, avoiding what turned out to be a large fist. I backed up to get some distance between me and my new friend as I tried to figure out just what I was facing.

"I thought I told you creeps to stop blocking the way!" yelled the Pokémon in anger.

"It's a Golem." Calmly stated the Espeon. He stood up straight "Hey!" he yelled drawing the attention of the aggressive Pokémon.
