I was packing my bags . I got a clue from queen Tatiana that the illegitimate child was from Detroit and she/he attended dear old st vlads the school I loath so much. so I was going to travel back to their, to search the files. since it was summer and some students where still there , like I was when I attended the school,the wards would still be up but until then I was going to be unprotected. Everywhere I must brace myself to see if I would fight a Strigoi. I couldn't bring Adrian. Any Strigoi would love to have a royal blood on their hands especially Ivashkov blood.they also wouldn't let me borrow a jet so I was forced to go by car. Should I bring Lissa ? I had to we made a pact, we travel together. But I couldn't leave Adrian with a lame excuse again he was beginning to see right through my lies. and also I need a car , Adrian had a car. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing if you came.... no! I couldn't risk his life, but could I even risk Lissa's ? This was the man I was beginning to love and my best friend I couldn't let another man slip away and I couldn't lose her. So I then decided this was a solo mission. I heard a knock at my door and I answered the door to see Adrian standing there looking stern and determined "aunt Tatiana told me everything, I'm coming" I was shocked why would she tell him this was her way to keep us apart "why would she tell you?" I questioned he then looked bashful his ever-changing unstable mood from the spirit shined through. "I may have compelled her to...." I sighed and glared at him "you compelled the queen! And no you can't come!" I shouted. "what! You don't control me rose and I want to help I want to protect you" he said lovingly as he took my hands. "i'm the one who does the protecting Adrian" I said harshly maybe if I made him angry enough he wouldn't want to come. he then did look angry he knew I was right he doesn't know how to protect people except with the spirit Magic. "Rose, I love you I'm coming to matter what I can't kill Strigoi but that I can change them and give me a chance you did it with our relationship and were great together , please" he begged I looked into those deep green eyes and couldn't resist "fine" I said unhappily , so much for keeping him out of harms way. he then kissed me and i was filled with that heat i never knew was coming hit me like a brick. I love Adrian's kisses but I still longed for a Dimitri kiss, but the longing now began to fade and I was happy it was finally going away.
