-Aria Eve-

I pushed open the doors of the council. From down the hall I could still hear them bickering, that was actually how I found my way back. When the doors opened fully and I ran they didn't stop to look at me. Lissa was sitting still, obviously worn from listening to all the Moroi. I could feel the struggle through the bond. I felt guilty for leaving her even though it wasn't my own choice. "Everybody Out!" I screamed but they didn't quiet down till Lissa held by gaze and said in a regal, calm but booming tone

"Council meeting postponed till further notice."

"But Your Majesty -" A bald Moroi began before Lissa stuck out her hand and he recoiled. People gathered there papers and belongings and shuffled out the door past me. Petrova was last, a lingering sneer on his face as he stared at me. He seemed like the type of Moroi to treat his guardians as nothing but dogs. I spat at his shoes, knowing Lissa would scold be earlier but after Petrova left with an angered expression and the only people left were Lissa, Adrian, Christian and I, I saw a slight smile on Lissa's lips. "Where did you go?" Adrian said as he rushed over to me. "Long story, but I have more important news." I said with a bright smile. Adrian raised an eyebrow quizzically. Adrian was beautiful with his emerald eyes as they bore into me. I loved him with my whole heart "And that oh so important news that you made us stop the meeting for is?" Christian interrupted.

"Yes well, you see Tatianna never said you had to marry Adrian." "Who else would Tatiana mean?" "I never said she didn't mean Adrian but his name wasn't mention. And then when I saw my mother-" "Wait you saw Jeanine?" Lissa said at the same time Christian added "You weren't raised from hell?" I brushed Christian off, our usual love/hate banter could wait. "Long story with Jeanine but she said that All Moroi are related." "So?" Jill said as she walk out of the corner she was hiding in, I had forgotten she was even there.

Lissa light green eyes were bright, she understood perfectly now. It was as if she was the shadow kissed one at that moment but it was just our natural ability to understand the other one better than anyone else, plus she was pretty smart. "Yes, every Moroi is related, some way or another so that means-" "Christian is related to Tatiana somehow." Christian and Adrian caught on at the same time but helpless little Jill was still confused. Adrian, who she still adored, would explain to her later I supposed but now we were all smiling so wide I thought all our faces would crack. "Rose you're a genius." Adrian said as he pulled me into his arms and kissed me.

It was a desperate kiss but one we both needed. One that said nothing, not even a dead queen somehow still bent on tearing us apart, could ruin our love for each other. We broke apart as Christian and Lissa kissed passionate. Jill was blushing red as she stared at her feet. I couldn't help but laugh as tears pricked in the corner of my eyes.

When Lissa and Christian finally broke apart he pulled a little box out of his pocket and bent to one knee, giving Lissa the ring she's always wanted back to her. Adrian pulled me to his side. I knew what he was thinking, contemplating. I needed to put him at easy so I said as I snuggled into his side "We will have our time. Not now but some day." I was watching as my best friend had a ring slipped on her finger, I smiled at them while my boyfriend, the one I wanted to be with forever was smiling down at me.
