AJ's P.O.V.

The next couple hours go by. While I'm up in my room, Autumn said that she was cooking dinner. I finished putting all my stuff away, then I decided to take a shower and get some comfortable clothes on.

After I get out of the shower, I dry off and put on a solid black oversized t-shirt and a pair of plaid pajama pants. I put my dirty clothes and my towel in the laundry basket outside my bathroom and walk over and get comfy on my bed.

I hear a knock on my door and tell whoever it is to come in. The door opens and Ayden comes in and sits next to me on my bed.

"So how do you like your room?" He asks

"I love it. Its more than I could ever imagine. I don't know how I could ever repay you guys for what you have done for me by adopting me. I've been in that orphanage for 12 years, so as you can probably guess I no longer had any hope on getting adopted." I tell him as a tear falls down my cheek. I quickly try and wipe it away but I think he noticed it.

"We are happy you are here with us. As soon as we met you, we knew that we wanted to adopt you. As we talked, it just felt right and that it was like you were meant to be with us." He says as he puts his arm around me to give me a side hug.

"Honestly, when you guys left I got really sad. I had so much fun just sitting there talking with you guys but all that was going through my head was that I was never going to see you guys again. That if you were going to adopt, it was going to be one of the younger kids." I say, leaning into the hug.

"We went into the orphanage, we had no expectations really. We just knew that we wanted someone to call our son or daughter. We didn't know what age or anything, we were just going to listen to our hearts and our hearts chose you." He says giving me a tight squeeze around my shoulders.

"Anyway, I came up here to tell you that dinner is ready so come on I'm hungry." He says getting up off my bed and reaches his hand out to help me up as well.

We get downstairs and make our way to the dining room where the table was set up and had a pot of spaghetti in the middle of three place settings. We take our seats and dish our plates. As we eat, we talk about literally everything. It seems like the longer I'm here, the more I feel like myself again. Not the quiet and nervous girl that I've been all day.

"Because it's Friday, we are going to take you to the mall tomorrow so that we can go shopping and then on Monday I'm going to go to the local high school and sign you up there. Hopefully you'll be able to start by next Monday." Autumn says as she finishes what is on her plate and sets her fork down.

"Ok. Do you think you could see about getting me into a music class?" I ask, also finishing what is on my plate.

"Yeah, I can. Of course I can't guarantee anything but I'll ask them." She says, giving me a smile from across the table.

Once we were all done eating, we got up and took everything to the kitchen. Autumn showed me were the storage bowls are so I could put the leftovers in the fridge while Ayden and Autumn washed the dishes.

We finished up in the kitchen and decided to go to the living room and watch a movie before we head to bed.
