Kyra's POV
When I woke up, it was about three AM. I looked to my right and saw this weird teenager out cold in a chair against the wall. He's wearing a ninja gi for some reason, and his hazel hair stuck out in points. It wasn't a dream, then. Maybe the guy in the white ninja gi was a dream, but I didn't think so. I hope not.
I quietly slide off the covers, relieved that I'm still wearing my clothes. I open the bedroom door with a click and a loud creak. I cringed, hoping nobody woke up. After a few seconds, when it seemed nobody did, I snuck to the end of the hall. When I opened the door, I found I was on a ship.
A flying ship.
I gape. The stars were so bright- and close! You could just reach up, and pick one off the branches of the sky. I sighed and held out my arm. It's scratched and bruised. That's alright, it'll heal relatively fast. But my mind and memory...those may be broken beyond repair. I didn't mind it at first when the other person began latching onto my mind. They were a friend, and kept me safe.
Then they started controlling me. Like a gaming avatar. I would wake up from these vivid 'dreams' covered in wounds. I fought back and learned who it was. And that I was a hero. But the person doing it doesn't know who I am. He doesn't even know that I'm human.
I came to tell him the truth. All of it.
With a final look at the stars, I sneak back to bed.
