Mars's POV
"Alaska Juneau Washington, get your ass down here right this instant," America said strictly as he saw Alaska from the top of the steps.

"What now Dad?" Alaska asked, clearly still half asleep.

"Never has a test grade so shameful been in this house," America said as he help up Alaska's math test. Eighteen percent. EIGHTEEN.

"Oh, yea... I thought you'd have too much on your hands to care about that." Alaska replied.

"Look at me Alaska. I may be a powerful country with a shitload of stuff on my hands, but I'm not too busy to care about my children's test grades." America said.

"Get off my back Dad. I could have done worse." Alaska complained.

"Alaska, you can't get much worse than 18 percent. Now explain to me why you did this." America said.

"Look, you can't expect us all to be perfect! Boom! That's my explanation for you." Alaska yelled.

"Look at me Alaska. I know all my kids can't be perfect, but I always encourage them to try their best. And on some questions on here, you didn't even try. You wrote that you didn't give a fuck for one of the questions on here. And just that."

"Can't you just listen to me Dad?! I don't give a fuck, so just fuck off already! And stop being such a bitch while you're at it, old man!" Alaska yelled.

America stood there in shock. How could Alaska say such a thing to him?

America sighed. "Alaska. You leave me no choice. You know I hate to do this, but..."

Alaska's expression changed to one of anger and frustration as America spoke.

"You're grounded. Two weeks. I'll be keeping your phone with me until then. But I won't look through it, don't worry, I respect your privacy." America said, somehow very calmly.

Alaska tried to speak, but nothing came out. "Fine. You win you petty little bitch." Alaska mumbled as he slammed his iPhone on the kitchen table.

He walked off into his room and slammed the door, startling America.

America's head drooped. Was he failing as a parent?

He had to be. The energy of the states house seemed to change. It wasn't chaotic anymore.

It was solemn. The occasional crash or yell, but it seemed bland. Nobody was happy or laughing anymore, it was quiet.

The silence made America's head pound. Something had to be wrong.

And as a father, his job was to figure out what was happening. And all he needed was to send a message.

On the household group chat, he wrote, "Family meeting in the meeting room ASAP. All punishments are suspended until further notice." He sends the message, sighing.

America's POV
After I did the roll call, it seemed everyone was here. "Alright. Here's how we're doing this. Anyone ever watched Mean Girls?"
