Despite the horde of Tentibozu at their back and the various groups of Inkulbi blasting some sort of siren above them, the Rangers couldn't take their eyes off the massive 20-foot creature that had just emerged from the tree line on the far side of the river.
Between its massive ape-like body, thrashing tentacles and what appeared to be multiple faces embedded into its body, this thing was somehow even more unnatural looking than the monsters already surrounding them.
"Is everyone okay?" the Infernape Ranger yelled as he and the Bewear Ranger arrived on scene.
Their eyes immediately went to the group of gangly humanoids standing between them and the others; but as their gaze shifted to take notice of the still screeching Inkulbi, that's when they too caught sight of the monster in the distance.
"What in the world?", the Bewear Ranger began as the creature let out a blood-curdling bellow - the tentacles dangling from its neck rippling from the vibration. "Why is it that every time we leave you guys alone, something terrible happens?" She yelled angrily.
"Because we enjoy consistency!" the Greninja Ranger sarcastically yelled back, his eyes still fixed on the monster.
The Bewear Ranger sighed angrily. "So what's our play?"
"I'm thinking" the Infernape Ranger replied. "Mandibuzz, you've got the range! Think you can take out those Inkulbi overhead before they attract any more attention to us?"
"Sure thing!" she replied
"Greninja, you're on minion duty with me! Let's try to free up some space to fight!" The Infernape Ranger then turned towards the Bewear Ranger. "You, Houndoom and Macho are our heaviest hitters. Think you can hold off the big guy long enough for us to regroup?"
"If we don't beat it before then", she winked.
"Just be careful" he smiled before turning to everyone. "Let's do it team!"
As the Greninja and Infernape Rangers ran to engage the crowd of Tentibozu from both sides, the Mandibuzz and Bewear Rangers used the distraction to swap positions – one heading towards the giant monster and the other making her way up the hill for a better vantage point.
"I was afraid we'd be stuck on Big Boy duty", the Houndoom Ranger sighed.
"Less talking, more dodging!" Macho cried as he grabbed the Houndoom Ranger and pushed him to the ground just as a tree came crashing down behind them.
"Let's go you two", the Beware Ranger encouraged as she leapt over the projectile and ran past them. "Before he reloads."
As the Mandibuzz Ranger made it back to the top of the trestle, she quickly materialized a shuriken in each hand. With them so busy broadcasting this signal, the Inkulbi made easy targets. And one by one, she began to take them out – the deafening siren getting quieter and quieter with each defeated foe.
