"I bring news, though not the kind you'll be pleased to hear"

"Speak" the serpent ordered

*Present day*

The Rangers winced in pain as the God Serpent Serpenquaza's voice echoed inside their heads. Though it wasn't just them. Everyone currently seated in the quiet diner - the doppelgängers, Zekks, Macho and even little Vinnie - felt the deafening boom of his voice.

"Well he certainly wasted no time" Kayla grimaced.

It seemed as though Serpenquaza's voice affected everyone to varying degrees. Out of everyone Kayla and Zekks seemed to handle it the best, merely seeming like a sharp headache. The doppelgängers and little Vinnie on the other hand, were almost completely crippled by it.

"A few months ago, I spared all your lives - forgave your past actions of tampering with time -  AND THIS IS HOW YOU THANK ME?!?!" the voice boomed in their heads even louder. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't wipe you all out right now!"

"Because Giravan's dead!" Houndoom shouted.

Almost immediately, the booming in their heads subsided; and all was quiet as they tried to catch their breaths.

"Explain" the voice finally returned, quieter now, yet still demanding as it considered this claim.

"It's kind of a long story"

"But we'd be happy to tell you all about it tomorrow" Mandibuzz offered pleasantly. "It's kind of been a long - "

As she blinked, the world around them shifted and suddenly they were all no longer in the diner; but rather atop a grassy cliffside with jagged mountain peaks that sloped up towards the sky.

"- day"

"Palkex, why did you teleport us?" Macho asked, still clutching his cup of tea.

"What's up?" Palkex asked as it materialized beside them, stretching its neck as if it'd had just woken up from a nap. "I heard my name."

A massive gust of wind knocked everyone back from the edge and tumbling down a short distance as a massive serpentine form rose. It wrapped its coils around the nearby mountain peak as if it was a tree trunk, before turning to peer down at all that were gathered before it.

As this would be the Rangers' third time seeing Serpenquaza, the initial shock of his overwhelming size was not as bad as it had been the last two times; but even after everything they'd faced with Giravan, Serpenquaza's size still gave them pause. As for everyone else, there was not a single one among them that didn't feel completely overwhelmed by this creature's enormous stature.

Kayla on the other hand fell into neither camp. Though she stood completely unfazed by this display, there were definite signs that Serpenquaza's sudden appearance weighed heavily on her mind. It's not that she feared him catching on to her investigations the past few weeks; but rather that the time to hold such inquiries had run out.

"You will recount your story now", the serpent ordered the Rangers, "and leave out not a single detail."

And so Serpenquaza listened to their tale in its entirety: how a weird group of creatures they'd later know as Tentibozu emerged from a portal; how they gave chase and found themselves powerless in a parallel universe; how they gained new friends, new powers and over many weeks met - and later defeated - their doppelgängers; how the spell Giravan had placed upon the aforementioned doppelgängers had been broken; how they reclaimed Palkex, the lost PokeZord of Space; and finally how they all led one final assault against Giravan and silenced the nightmare once and for all.
