Carlos' POV
When Felix didn't budge, I got worried and dashed after some cool water to save my little friend. I had only just met him, I can't lose him already! I poured some cold water into a cup and gently dribbled some water over him, and waited anxiously. My eyes lit up with joy when I saw Felix blinking drowsily. "C-carlos? Did you save me?" he asked. I nodded, still excited that he was alive. It was only just then that I felt uncomfortable in the royal suit. "Hey, Felix, I have to go quickly change, I'll be right back." I said, picking out some clothes from my wardrobe. He smiled cheerfully and nodded. I left the room.
Felix's POV
Carlos left the room to go change. I didn't really know what to do just then. I looked around his room for any source of entertainment. Then the door swung open quickly. He couldn't have finished that quickly! A girl that looked about the age of 9 came barging into his room. "Caaarrrloosssss! It's time.. Carlos?" she said annoyingly. "Carlos? Where are you- Ooh! Looky here! Since when did he have a pet? Well, mine now!" she giggled, grabbing me tightly. "L-little girl.. P-please I c-can't..It h-hurts!" I cried, but she ignored me and ran to her room. I repeated it over and over again until finally she said something. "Listen here, you're now going to be my pet! So you better do what I say, or.else." she whisper-shouted angrily, making her grip tighter. I had no choice but to do what she said.
Carlos' POV
I changed out of my suit to more comfortable clothing so I could move around easier and more comfortable. I went back to my room to converse about random things with Felix, or whatever we wanted to talk about, but when I arrived there, he was gone. I raced around, frantically trying to find him. I couldn't have stepped on him, he can't jump from such a height like that and land safely. I wanted to find him - and fast. I dashed out the castle without even thinking to look around the house. I searched and searched but never found him. And then I remembered one thing - I had told my sister, Amira, to come to my room for something at the exact same time as I went to change! She had always wanted to have a pet, but what would she do if she saw Felix? I ran up to her room as fast as I could, worried what she had already done to him.
Felix's POV
The giant girl put me on a desk, but just as I was about to escape, I was met with hard glass. Stunned, I looked around, seeing what I had hit - she had placed a clear cup over me. "L-let me out!" I cried, banging my fists against the glass. "Listen here, since you're the pet, you don't tell me what to do, okay? You know what. You need a punishment!" she exclaimed. My eyes widened in fear. But before I could gather my senses, words flew out of my mouth. "I'm not your pet and you're not my owner! Carlos is!" I shouted angrily, but then quickly covered my mouth. I shrank back down when she stood up and walked over to the jar, and tipped me out in her hands. "That is NOT how to speak to me! I don't care if Carlos is your owner, he's not here!" she shouted back. Her hands slipped and I was dropped onto the floor, my whole body searing in pain. "Ugh...you were useless anyway," she sighed, and lifted her foot. "W-wait! N-NO! I'm s-sorry!" I screamed, but it was no use. I lay there helplessly, awaiting my fate.
Carlos' POV
I barged in to my sister's room, to find her hovering her foot hovering over Felix's limp body. "AMIRA STOP!" I yelled angrily. "Don't take anything from my room when I'm away. And especially DO NOT, treat Felix that way!". Amira looked at me, stunned. "Okay okayy. Why are you so anngggrryy!" she whined. I could feel my face redden with anger. "Because you nearly just killed my best friend!" I shouted. She rolled her eyes and threw Felix at me, who I caught perfectly and safely in my hands. He felt limp and powerless, which got me worried. I ran back to my room and placed him carefully on a pillow with a snip of my blanket to keep him warm. "Hey buddy..get some rest, okay?" I told him softly. I hoped he would be okay.
