Felix's POV

Another year had passed, and everyone had gotten closer, especially me and Carlos since Carol spent most of her time picking fights with wall mice or floor mice. Carlos had built me a new swing, which was basically just two long strings. I loved Carlos  dearly. One day, I went outside through Carol's hole and went into the grass. I pulled at a large flower with all my might, until finally it released itself from the ground, causing me to fall back. I scurried back into the castle, holding the flower on top of my head. Carlos' sister noticed me carrying it and giggled, though I wasn't sure why. I went inside and tried to grab Carlos' attention, from which he spun around out of his chair.

Carlos' POV

I noticed Felix running into my room with a small flower over his head. It looked quite funny, as if the flower itself was moving, but I still knew it was Felix. He lifted it up to reveal his face like an umbrella and pointed it at me. "Is this for me?" I said excitedly, dropping down quickly. "Well...I thought it was about time you knew...I love you, Carlos." he said, and looked at me. I was overjoyed and took the flower from him, just about to tell him how much I loved him too...but then I remembered something. My heart dropped at the thought of even just telling him. I saw Carol hiding behind the leg of my bed, and I got even more nervous. "I love you too, Felix..." I began, and saw him and Carol jumping with happiness, which made me more saddened. "But...my parents have arranged for me to get married with someone I don't like...a princess from another kingdom. They won't let me back out from it." I explained, expecting the worst. Felix's face dropped. However, Carol was more angry than sad. "WHAT?! I'll show them!" she shouted, punching her fists at an imaginary person. "There's nothing I can do about it, I'm so sorry, I still love you." I said. "It's okay, at least we can still have each other.." he tried to remain optimistic. I really was sorry, but at least I knew he loved me too. "B-but, we can't let this happen! I've thought of a plan to help you!" Carol exclaimed confidently. Felix and I both turned to her in confusion. I didn't expect the most embarrassing thing to come from her, but it seemed to work perfectly - I would have to make her hate me.
