Falling asleep has never been easier for the two of them as much as it was then, after an emotional engagement and a passionate night of love, longing, and raging lust. It was too consuming that once came to the release of these emotions, it was an overwhelming surge of fulfillment being held inside of them for so long. The breeze coming from the window was nice, not shivering; the moonlight shone into the room and illuminated their peaceful faces as their bodies entwined with each other; hearts beating in a steady, almost synchronized rhythm.

It was beautifully pleasant, before it turned chaotic.

"Hayley!!"

They both woke up with a jolt and looked at each other with alarm before they got out of the bed and stormed out of the room. While they ran down the stairs from their temporary room, Hayley was pushing her door open and Klaus was already in the living room, crouching in front of a very puzzled Hope.

"What happened?" Cassie asked him wide-eyed, staying as close as she can to Elijah's calming warmth.

"Mom, I'm so cold." The girl murmured toward her mother, who now examined her daughter's pale face and bleeding nose with worry.

"She's never been sick, ever." Hayley declared as she sat on the couch with Hope resting her head over her lap.

"This is a magical affliction. " Freya told solemnly as she held onto Hope's hand. "It feels.. I don't know, it's hard to explain. Almost.. Cold."

Quiet footsteps sounded from the staircase, which soon enough seemed to be coming from another small, slim figure.

"Theo." Cassie sprinted over to the stairs and engulfed him in her arms. She hurried to pull back just a little to run her hand over his cheek and hair. "Are you feeling okay?"

"What happened to Hope, mom?" He whispered in a question while glancing at his uncles and aunts surrounding the couch his cousin was currently lying on.

Cassie sighed, raised him up on her arms with her as she returned to stand by Elijah's side again. "Nothing happened. She just doesn't feel so well right now."

A sudden feeling of something scratching against her thigh from her pocket made Hayley frown in confusion and tuck her hand inside of it, only to pull a piece of crumpled paper being magically transported to her.

"It's from Vincent Griffith." She said as she began to read the written on it. "He knows what's wrong with Hope, he can cure her. But we have to go back to New Orleans."
