A/N: Hello my awesome readers! For starters, I'm sorry for the super late update. College is a pain in the butt and makes it hard to function. But, I'm back and with new dialogue updates!

The Kijarien Nekos will be introduced in this chapter! Like Faelyn's tribe, they also speak their own language, Kija. However, I am not creative enough and way too lazy to create an entire language, so here is how you will be aware of when they are speaking their native tongue. When the Nekos speak Kija, it will be in quotation marks and the works will be bold and italicized. For example...

"Apple."

Got it? Awesome! Onward to Chapter 6: The Journey

Kyro

Everything was ready for my departure. Landon was outside the base with the horses, ready to make the two-day trip to The Kijariel Tropics. With every second, Faelyn's life is slipping away. I know that I have to leave now or she will die. So, why can I not leave? Why can I not tear myself from Faelyn's bedside?

"It is time for you to depart, Prince Kyro." Mina announced, entering the infirmary.

"Mina, we have known each other for three years now. You don't have to address me as royalty." I sighed, my gaze never leaving Faelyn's prone form.

"Forgive me. It is a habit." Mina replied as she mixed elixirs together at her alchemy station.

It was silent for a moment, excluding the sound of boiling and bubbling medicine. The quiet was uncomfortable, making me grip Faelyn's hand a little tighter. If it wasn't for the sickly pale skin tone, I could have tricked myself into thinking she was sleeping. But, I know better. I saw what happened--I felt what happened. I could feel her pain. I could feel her fear. It was overwhelming. I had no choice but to call for Lucien.

I told her father I would protect her. I made a deal with Lucien that I would protect her. But, here she is, in the infirmary and slowly dying--all because I was not strong enough to do my duty.

"The Princess will only get worse if you do not leave now. I will care for her until you return. You have my word." Mina promised.

"Very well," I sighed, standing from the stiff stool, "If all goes well, we will be back in three days' time. If her condition worsens, Nyra has offered her assistance."

"Safe travels, Prin-Kyro." Mina slightly bowed her head as I left the room.

I was on my way out of the base--nearly out of the door in fact, when someone called my name. Instantly, my blood began to boil as rage coursed through my veins. After everything, this damned skamelar has the nerve to even approach me.

Let me deal with this fool.

You will burn him to a crisp.

Is that not what you want?

I will deal with him, Lucien.

"I am departing, Griffon. Surely, whatever you have to say can wait until I return." I frowned, turning to face the burly man.

"That is if you return." Griffon replied.

"What are you implying?" I raised an eyebrow.

"That maybe you will not return. Or maybe that poor elf you are so fond of might meet her demise sooner than we expected." Griffon smirked.

"If you even think about-"

"Do not fret, Prince Kyro. The elf girl will be safe, so long as you do as I command." Griffon cackled.
