“I’m always worried that he’ll scare off my customers, but look around, the inn’s been empty for decades. He pays his keep, so I let him stay. So what's a stranger doing around Morthal?”
“I'm just passing through, heading to Riverwood to visit an old friend of mine. I need a room for the night, if you wouldn't mind."

Jade tossed the coin onto the counter and went to her room, reading a book to pass the time. After everyone in the inn had fallen asleep, she slipped into the bard's room. Luburk was sleeping deeply and snoring loudly. The noise ceased only after Jade slit his throat.
