"concept of love"

~

chaerin walked out the school, hands in her blazer pockets.

where was she off to now? her house?
she definitely didn't want to go straight home. if only someone were to stop her from going there...

"chaerin!"

a small smile formed on her face as she turned her head. she recognized the voice immediately.

jay jogged his way to chaerin. chaerin chuckled at the sight.

"hi," she says, as jay slowly stops in his tracks in front of her.

"wanna do something?" he asks with a bright smile on his face. "we can do anything you want!"

chaerin just shrugged her shoulders. "i'm okay with anything," she stated. "i just don't want to go home yet."

jay hummed as he looked up at the sky, thinking what the two of them could do.

he was thinking.
there is school tomorrow, so we cant stay out too late unless we want to skip a morning class. something simple but also memorable.
wait- why does it have to be memorable?

"you are definitely thinking," chaerin teased, making jay snap out of his thoughts. he cleared his throat as he put his hands in his pants pockets.

"remember that boba place we went to with the group?" he asked, with a small smile on his face. "i'll buy you a drink."

chaerin slightly nodded with a grin, "alright, let's go!"

~

chaerin and jay sat down in front of each other at a table for two. it was next to the giant window the store had.

the store wasn't that packed, there were a few people doing homework or hanging out with their friends.

"so you like mango tea," jay questioned as he poked his straw through his drink. jay had a basic milk tea as chaerin had a mango tea.

chaerin nodded as she sipped on her drink, she had been craving it for awhile. "fruit teas over milk teas any day."

jay raised an eyebrow at the girl, shaking his head as he disagreed with her statement. "milk teas over fruit teas."

"heck no!"

"um heck yeah!"

chaerin playfully rolled her eyes, "okay you big baby."

jay leaned back on his chair, sipping his milk tea with a frown. "big baby," he mocked under his breath.

the brunette girl playfully grinned as she saw his annoyance. she knew jay found that nickname annoying, but it wasn't going to stop her from using it.

jay did find it annoying, but it didn't mean he didn't like it. the nickname seemed to bring out joy in chaerin, so why get angry?

"okay anyways big baby!" chaerin exclaimed, making jay jump at her sudden loudness.

the two put their drinks back onto the table in unison as they looked at each other.
