"leah"

~

"do you know how embarrassing it was for me there?!" chaerin's mother's voice echoed in the room.

chaerin shook her head, still looking down at her feet. she heard her mother scoff, sitting back on the couch next to her father.

"never do that. never disappear like that. all the attention was diverted to you and not your sister."

the teenage girl looked up at her mother. "attention? chaeyoung had enough attention."

"you bit-" her mother started speaking, but paused with a deep breath.

"go to your room," she spat. "chaeyoung already packed her things."

chaerin nodded, quickly making her way to her room. surprisingly, she didn't feel that nervous. she even said something back. maybe the hoodie did make her feel safe.

she entered her room and saw chaeyoung sitting on her bed. chaeyoung looked at chaerin, quickly standing up. "i can leave n-"

"you can stay for a bit if you want," chaerin quietly said, not actually wanting chaeyoung there. she just felt a bit bad for friday and saturday night.

the older sister nodded as her eyes followed chaerin going to her bed. chaerin dropped herself on the bed, releasing a big sigh.

chaeyoung bit her lip, "where did you go?"

"none of your business."

chaeyoung sighed, carefully sitting on the edge of the bed. chaerin looked at her.

"nice hoodie," she stated. "where'd you get it?"

chaerin looked back up the ceiling, "still none of your business."

"it's not yours."

the younger one quickly turned her head to her sister, who had a cheeky smile on her face. "who's is it? are you seeing someone?"

"no.." chaerin responded. "this is mine. my hoodie."

"chaerin c'mon," chaeyoung teased. "i got a whiff of the scent when you walked to your bed, it doesn't smell like you."

"why are you even talking to me?" chaerin looked away from chaeyoung, "didn't i hurt you or whatever.."

"hurt me?" asked chaeyoung, sounding confused. "are you talking about friday?"

the younger one slowly nodded her head. chaerin felt a bit bad for what she said, and chaeyoung talking to her as if nothing happened made her feel even more bad.

"that doesn't matter to me." chaeyoung said, as expected. "and i'm really curious about this hoodie you're wearing."

chaerin sighed, "it's a friend's. nothing special."

"uh huh.." chaeyoung raised an eyebrow, not buying chaerin's statement.

chaeyoung then got up, making chaerin immediately look at her. chaeyoung gave her a smile as she picked up a bag on the floor.
