chapter 6- splotching and random conversations

I show up at foxfire not knowing what to expect. Where Fitz and I friends now? Was i supposed to talk to him?

 I decide to just settle on smiling from across the hall when fitz comes up to me and Jensi at orientation.

 "y/n! ive been looking for you! im really happy that you agreed to hang. ill see you later!" he says then walks away leaving me blushing and Jensi with his jaw basically touching the floor. 

the drooly boys come up to us and one of them says "dude are you ok?" to jensi.

before he can regain himself i say "ignore him. hes just surprised that i have other friends" then i turn to jensi and say "if you keep your mouth open any longer, a bug will fly in to it"  

then i winked at the starstruck boys and walked away.

where did all of this random confidence come from?

i was sitting on the bench in PE wiping purple goo off of my face from losing in a splotching match. 

i was never particularly good at telekinesis so i was pretty proud of myself for winning 3 rounds, before i got put against my stupid brother who jumps at any chance to embaress me.

i wasnt really paying attention until it was the last round. sophie foster against fitz vacker.

 lady alexine throws up the pink splotcher and the whole room holds its breath in anticipation;

then all of a sudden, BOOM! sophie and fitz are flying through the air. i slap my hand over my mouth as biana vacker jumps up from her seat and rushes to her brother while keefe and dex quickly make their way over to sophie.

the level 5 mentor rushes over and picks fitz up before running over to sophie and lifting her up with telekinesis. he shouts over his shoulder "ill bring them to the hospital wing. dont worry anyone" before walking out. 

lady alexine shouts "miss vacker! mister sencen! and mister diznee please return to your seats!"

about an hour later fitz and sophie walk back in to the room and imedietly keefe, biana, and dex run up to them. 

they talk for a minute before the tired looking teachers tell them to sit down and announce that sophie won. 

i couldnt have run up to fitz when he came back in because i was still very confused as to where we stood but i did mouth 'are you ok?' to him and when he flashed me a thumbs up with that beutiful smile of his i was pretty sure that he was fine.

later that day, as i was making my way to the leapmaster to leap home, fitz jogs up behind me and asks to speak to me.

obviously i say yes and we stand there for a minute before i say "so are you gonna say something or...." he snaps out of some daze and says "naw, actually. i just wanted to see you a bit since we didnt really talk today" he says with a smirk

then from behing me i hear "fitz! hurry up!" i turn to see biana and sophie standing a nice distance away from each other but close enough that i knew that sophie was going to their house. 

"welp. i should go before she makes my life a permanent version of the great gulon incident. bye y/n!" fitz said and jogged away.

i continue to the leapmaster where jensi is waiting for me, talking to his friends. when he saw me he said bye and we leaped home
