Ashton
“Ash!” Liz called as she walked in, she saw me crying but didn’t ask because she figured it was all about Luke. No it was because my heart was breaking, it felt like it was being shred to pieces by a wild animal, every thought of Calum like a sharp tooth plunging into my beating heart ready to rip another piece of until it stopped beating altogether.
“What happened?” She asks me.
“He fainted on the bleachers, I wasn’t in time to grab him. Hit his head.” I tell her, trying to calm my nerves. Luke lay unconscious on the hospital bed, all his vitals were fine and I was waiting for the scan to say if he’d done any damage with the hit, he was bleeding that’s all I know.
“Mr. Irwin, aaah and Mrs. Hemmings.” The doctor says as he walks in, I didn’t bother looking up at him, or greeting him in any way.
“He’s just fractured his skull, nothing bad it will heal easily. The bleeding has stopped, he’ll get some pain medication as soon as he wakes up. We however can’t tell you when that will be.” The doctor says, I hear the chair next to me move, Liz comes to sit down.
“IS this one of those times where I don’t ask what’s gone wrong?” Liz asks me.
“Luke had his first heartbreak. Wasn’t pretty.” I mutter, I wasn’t going to lie to her.
“Michael?” She asks me, I nod. She knew just like I did that Brady was a way to keep Michael off of his mind.
“You and Calum?” She then asks me, I shake my head as more tears roll down my cheek. Liz pulls me in for a hug and I hug her back with one arm, my other was leaning on the bed, my hand entwined with Luke’s.
It took 6 hours, 6 painfully long, and silent hours. Luke’s eyes began to flutter and soon his blue eyes were looking up at me. I frowned at the dull blue they had become, every sign of heartbreak visible, from the dull look to the frown, the red eyes.
“Hold me?” He asks me, nothing more and nothing less, so I climbed into the bed with him, wrapping my arms around him as he started to cry onto my chest.
“I’ll never let you go.” I whisper to him.
“I love you Ashton.” Luke whispers back.
“Love you to Lukey.” I reply, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.
AN/Aww this is so short msorry :( Anyways, so Liz and the boys have an understanding of the 'don't ask' thing and Ashton is really hurting :(
