Michael pov

“ASHTON!” the scream made me snap away from Calum, Calum looked round, licking his fingers and rubbing on the spot my lips were just connected to.

“LUKE!” Ashton then screamed, we both looked around and spotted the wavy haired boy on the bleachers, we both ran up to them but Ashton glared at us.

“Stay the fuck away from us! You lying filthy cheaters!” Ashton says to us, anger seeping through his every word.

“Ash, sweetie, what are you talking about?” Calum asks his shocked.

“Don’t fucking talk to me! Call an ambulance you dickhead and then leave us alone! Don’t come near us anymore, we’re not friends! We’re nothing to each other anymore! I never want to see your face ever again Calum!” Ashton yells, tears running down his face as he cradles Luke’s head. I sniffed the blood and snapped my lips closed.

“And you Michael! I don’t ever want to hear that you came near Luke again! GO!” Ashton screams, Calum was dialing the emergency number and then hung up.

“5 minutes.” Calum says.

“Leave!” Ashton yells.

“Ash, what did we do wrong?” Calum asks him.

“WE SAW OK! WE SAW MICHAEL BASICALLY ATTACKING YOU AGAINST YOUR CAR! We never did anything to deserve this! We’ve been nothing but nice to you! Why’d you have to go and break us like this! Break my heart like this!” Ashton says, he ends up just sobbing as he held onto Luke.

“It’s going to be ok Lukey, I’ll get you to a hospital. I’ll be there, I’m always here.” Ashton kept whispering over and over again, Calum glared at me and I wasn’t quite sure what he wanted me to do.

“Ashton, please let me explain ok. Michael and I aren’t dating, we’re not a thing, never have been and never will be.” Calum says after rolling his eyes at me. Well it’s not like we can tell them the truth.

“I told you to leave.” Ashton says, his voice now low and cold as ice.

“Ash, sweetie come on you need to let me explain!” Calum begged him, Ashton just shook his head. He looked up as the sirens for the ambulance were heard, they parked on the lot and I waved them over.

“I’ll call his mom.” I say, Ashton shoots me a glare.

“Don’t! I’ll call Liz, you guys make sure you’re out of our lives.” Ashton tells us, he sounded so certain about what he said, Calum turned to me and before I knew it his fist had collided with my jaw.

I just raised an eyebrow at him.

“I know that didn’t hurt but I needed to do it!” Calum says, he then turns around and stomps to our truck. I held my head low, looking at the ambulance drive away, Ashton holding Luke’s hand as he called Liz.

The honk of the truck made me jump, startling me and the silence that was taking over my mind. No, no it wasn’t silence it was the odd russling noise you heard when the tv wasn’t working and it was stuck on the snow screen. Like my mind had stopped working, everything was blank, everything was gone. All but the one thing I wished had never entered my mind in the first place, his beautiful face.

“I’m sorry Calum.” I whisper as I climb into the truck.

“I’m so sorry.” I repeat, hot streaks of red running down my cheeks.

“Don’t talk to me.” Calum whispers, the dull tone in his voice scaring me more than his anger.

“Cal please!” I beg him, looking up at him, he just shakes his head and drives. I could smell the salt before I could see it, tears streaming down his face. Some point of me was jealous of how he could cry seethrough tears, he could hide it so easily unlike me. The saltyness of them overwhelmed me, I’d only seen Cal cry once before, when he was 13. He’s been hard a rock since that night and I admired that in him. I didn’t know how to fix this, all I knew was that we couldn’t stay here, we had to move.
