Y/N'S POV

"I'm going to inform the family, check the patient for the post-op," I said and walk to the family of my patient. "the surgery is successful. We take out the tumor and she's in her room. You can now go to see her" I informed them. They all hugged me and thank me, I smiled at them and go to the nurse station, and logged in to the book.

"Successful?" Jane asked me and handed me a steamy black coffee. I nod while I take a sip. I continue to write in the chart while she talked. "you going?" she asked. "Yup, my flight will be at 5 pm so I need to finish these charts," I said and continue to write.

"You know if there's a problem there, call me right away and ill go save your ass," she said. "And if some women hit on you, grab the chance man." She said. I rolled my eyes at her. She just laughed at me.

I walked through my office and take the charts I need to sign, I call my resident and instructed her for our post-op patients. I give her everything she knows and needs to do. I also said I'll call her to check if she did her job and if something happens alert me right away.

I packed my things, I got two trolley bags consisting of my clothes and necessities, and one backpack for my phone, laptop, and everything I need to get right away.

I turn off every appliance in the house and locked every window and door. I put my bags in the trunk. I take a deep breath and glance at my house. For two months. Hoping that staying in the New York our paths won't cross.

While I'm driving my way to the airport. My mind subconsciously plays the memories I have with her. Honestly, I don't know what I will do if I saw her down the streets of New York. I might run or freeze on my spot. I can't even say her name.

"I have something for you," I said to her. "What it is?" She asks. I handed her a letter in a vintage color with a golden wax seal.

She smiled and me, she loves handwritten letters. She said it shows the effort and love for someone, it makes her fluttered and happy. When I started courting her she said that when I walked her to her house.

"You can read what's inside when you got home," I said and scratching the back of my neck. I'm nervous when she's around. "Okay, I'll read it when I got home. Thank you, love" she told me kissed my cheeks. I blushed from that, I can feel the erratic beat of my heart.

7 years and counting in our relationship. It's hard at first since people are being homophobic and judging us. But the only thing that is important to me is her. Only her.

For the 7 years, I'm with her I felt everything. The happiness and fulfillment. The contentment and magic I never felt. I can't imagine my life without her. The pain will be going to kill me slowly but surely.

I'm waiting for my flight to be announced. I'm just observing the people around me. Some of them are alone like me. Some have their families and friends. I felt jealousy because I can't feel what they have.

"Good evening passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to New York. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes. Thank you."

I prepare myself and my things, my flight will be any time soon. I feel a vibration in my pocket. My mom is calling me.

"Hey, mom. What's up?" I asked her while checking for my boarding pass and passport.
