Third persons POV

It's been a week since the thing that happens between Y/N and Scarlett. They got closer. For some people who witness their love, it's good. But for some who want them to break apart, it's disgusting.

A rough week for Vicky. She drowns herself in work and surgeries. Avoiding the pleads coming from Y/N. She cries every night, she has nothing. No one on her side.

A part of her wants to let her go but her heart wants to keep her, she doesn't want to regret every decision she will do. Shes afraid of letting her go because she promised. She knows she didn't break any promise, but maybe now, she will.

"Vicky please, talk to me" Y/N begged her following her to the elevator. "Let me explain" Y/N pleaded, guilty rushing through her veins. Vicky didn't say anything, she doesn't want to open her mouth, scared that her mouth betrays her. Y/N pushed the button making the elevator stop.

"Please, just say anything" Y/N begged to get close to Vicky.

"Stop right there" Vicky sternly said, her eyes are cold and bitter. Heart aching. Her body is weak and tired. Y/N eyes are full of pity and guilt. She's sailing in both lakes, didn't want to choose which path she will go.

Vicky holds tight to the railing of the elevator to support her body, Y/N gaze making her weak and small. That adoring eyes she has melted her guards and every block she did to avoid her entering her heart again. "What do you want me to say? Congratulations? Happy for you? Is that it?"

"Vicky-"

"I thought you in me. You- you promised. That you're willing to risk for me. But here we are. Be honest, are you playing with me?"

"No- it's just-"

"Just what?!"

"Give me chance"

Vicky let out a bitter laugh, tears are threatening to fall. "How many chances will you waste for you to choose me?-"

"How many chances do I have to give you for you to be able to love me as you do to her?-"

"How many chances I will give to you so you can see that im better? That I can love you- How many chances do you want? Y/N?"

"I asked you nicely to distant yourself. You're dating me. I have a right to demand your time because you're the one who promised me! But didn't- I just asked you to distant yourself-"

"I know, im sorry. I'm so sorry"

"Why it's so easy for you to say sorry then repeat your mistakes?"

"Why it's so easy for you to play with people whose only intention is to love you genuinely? Do you think your sorry is enough for that person you hurt?-"

"Do you think your sorry is a privilege for you to hurt someone? Then just by a single sorry, you forgiven? Is that how sorry works for you?"

Vicky walks pushing the button to start the elevator. She hates herself for letting her in, she hates herself giving in by looking at her eyes. For letting herself fall to her.

"One last, Y/N. Prove to me that you are willing to risk and that you never break your promise. Give me some time to pick up the sanity that I lost because of you"

She let her, again. People deserve second chances. That's bullshit. Why do they need to ask for another chance when they already have it in their hands? What's our assurance that they will never take that chance for granted? Are they deserving of it, in the first place?

Vicky run to the nearest stall and let herself fall apart. Hugging herself against the cold tiles. Her sobs echoed in the restroom.

Pain is greater than love is worth.
