Hey guys
I would like to thank the people who read the first chapter of Empire. Especially FireDolphin who has been trying for years to convince me to publish my stories in English and also MJ Baar for kindly parsing the grammar of the first chapter.
The first four chapters will be a contextualization of Sean and Alexandra's life before the plot of the television series. I hope you have the patience to read it, I promise it won't take too much of your time and it might even be fun to see Lexi's mishaps as a teenager and "secretly" in love with her brother's best friend.
Sean is evidently five years older than she is. So their initial relationship will be very innocent. He is a gentleman, very respectful man and initially sees her as a younger sister.
Without further ado, let's go to the chapter?
Oh... before I forget: you'll notice I am big Clueless fan. There's a little moment in this chapter I took the movie as inspiration
2012
"Please, please, pretty please!"
"I've already said no Lexi. You are being inconvenient" Tatiana said in a harsh voice.
"But I don't understand why. Why can't I go to the party? When Dmitri was my age he would go to every event he wanted"
Her mother gave her a stern look, as if she said "you know perfectly well why". Dmitri could shoot and had first killed a man at age fifteen with a pencil.
Lexi, on the other hand, was constantly protected by her parents. They said that this was not a market she should be part of. The Family business would end in Dmitri, that was it. She would have to be content to have an unexciting life and no bloody trails left behind.
"Lex. I'm sorry, króchka" Tatiana spoke now in a soft tone "I love you more than anything. I can't risk you going to this party, okay? Things are a little hectic right now."
"Things are always hectic, Mom" Lexi said in a somewhat disappointed tone "But it's alright. I'm going to have to tell Philip I won't be going."
Tatiana looked at her daughter with a little pity, stroking her blond hair, when they were surprised by the kitchen door opening suddenly.
In single file, three young men entered.
"Who the hell is Philip?"
"Do we need to hit someone?"
"'Give me the wretch's last name to investigate his background"
Alex Dumani, Sean Wallace and Dmitri Dragomirov, the most insufferable trio of men Lexi knew. She rolled her eyes and said loudly to her mother "I'll be in my room"
"Wait!" Dmitri said suddenly "Come back here. Who the hell is Philip?"
Lexi looked at her mother, begging Tatiana to help her sort that situation out. Last thing the girl needed was Dmitri being a pain in the ass and playing the jealous big brother.
"A boy from her class" Tatiana replied calmly, and although she did her best to keep her face pale, it was possible to identify a trail of laughter "Son of bankers, captain of the football team and all that convenient cliché crap. I already pulled his and family background. He has even been arrested for driving while intoxicated and without a license"
Lexi widened her eyes and felt her mouth drop open. She countered, saying something about not being able to have privacy in that family.
Alex and Sean just laughed at the situation, while Dmitri demanded more information about "this Philip wanker".
