A/N/: Hey guys

I'm really sorry I didn't update last Sunday. I had to bring some work home and I was busy with that all weekend.

But here's another chapter in Sean and Lexi's story.

Hope you like it!

Sean's eyes opened slowly and he took a few moments to get his bearings. Gradually he recognized the ceiling of Jacqueline's old room, where he had been sleeping for the past three days. His arm reached out and he touched the empty side of the bed.

It was warm, which meant Lexi hadn't been up in a long time. However, looking out the window, he saw that it was still dark outside. He picked up the watch he'd taken off his wrist to sleep and checked the hours: 3 a.m.

He noticed a small light leaking from a crack in the door that led to the bathroom. He pushed back the covers and staggered over, still drowsy but determined to check on his fiancé.

"Lex..." he called to her softly, knocking lightly. "I'm coming in".

As he pushed open the door, his eyes protested a little at the light, but he saw what he'd already imagined. Alexandra sitting on the toilet seat, her face stained with tears and running her hands through her blond hair done in a braid.

"You should have called me." Sean said crouching down. "Did you have another nightmare?"

If Sean had one regret, it was agreeing to have Alexandra accompany them on the night of the shooting. It wasn't that he himself was okay with what had happened, but now Alexandra had nightmares about the shootings, and often in those nightmares she saw Dmitri being killed in front of her, as well as her parents and Sean.

Although it was obviously just a nightmare, Sean knew it was a subconscious reflection. Lexi had faced a long period of depression after the death of her older brother, he had seen and witnessed several difficult moments during her grieving process.

He himself was struggling with grief and felt the sensation of having his chest ripped open all the time. He had no idea how he would cooperate with this for years on end, like Lexi did.

"I know you're tired. I didn't want to bother you" Lexi explained in a sad voice. "Sorry."

"You don't bother me with it, you just make me very worried." Sean said holding her face. "Shall we go back to bed?"

She nodded and stood up. Sean hugged her, kissed her on the lips first and then on the forehead.

When they reached the bed, Sean hugged her from behind. The silk of her nightgown felt cold against his bare chest, but in a comfortable way. He felt Lexi intertwine her fingers and he kissed the back of her head.

"You are safe." Sean told her. "I would never let anything happen to you."

"I'm not afraid that something will happen to me. I just... I just can't lose anyone else, Sean."

"You wont lose me. I'm not going anywhere." He muttered before blacking out again, squeezing Lexi tightly in his arms.

Lexi woke to the light of day. She stretched out on the bed, aware that she was already alone. Sean usually woke her up so they could have breakfast together, but after her nightmare, he'd probably thought she needed some sleep.

The blonde propped herself up on her elbows and sat up. She took some of the water she always took to bedroom when Sean emerged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair and torso still a little damp.
