Chapter 3

JAEHYUN HIS LEGS WERE SOFTLY SWINGING BACK AND FORTH ON the top of the Astronomy tower. His head was leaning on the cold wall as he and Regulus silently stared at the ground that was so many feet below theirs. Jaehyun and Regulus had gotten acquainted back in their second year when Jaehyun had noticed the Black sitting alone at this exact same Astronomy tower they were currently sitting on. Regulus turned to the boy with a very small frown placed on his lips.

"Jaehyun.." The Black begun off softly, indicating that whatever news he may be bringing wouldn't be overwhelmingly exciting. Jaehyun turned to the boy with a small hum. The boy knew all too well what his tone alone meant, bad news, he didn't know what it was and honestly didn't want to.

Regulus sighed, furrowing his brows. "You were spotted with Potter." He stated, there wasn't a way to say this lightly. Regulus knew exactly what type of trouble his 'mates' would bring him the following morning if they even spotted Jaehyun.

Regulus his tone alone was slightly laced with annoyance, the name Potter wasn't heavenly in his dictionary. Jaehyun sighed and nodded.

"He wants.. to be friends. And- it's weird. I think he might pull a prank on Slytherin or something." The boy explained carelessly as his eyes kept fixated on the grass ground so many meter below him.

The Black stared at him, his eyes slightly squinting before letting out a frustrated grunt. "Jaehyun you know they already dislike you for being a muggleborn! If you keep getting spotted with any Gryffindor it won't lessen!"

"I know.. I know.. I'm sorry." Jaehyun quietly spoke, his head finally turning to look at Regulus. The boy groaned and shook his head, "Don't- i told you to stop saying sorry!" It was clear that Regulus was in distress, he was worried for his friend and worried for what would happen. On the other side he was annoyed at his friend for hanging out with someone as annoying and self centered as James Potter.

"Just.." Regulus let out a frustrated sigh. "Hide it, if he really bothers you just hex him or something. He's not much of man." He sneered, Jaehyun shook his head and gave him a gentle smile.

"Well it'll be hard to hide it if all he does i just go after me." Jaehyun replied, slightly joking. Regulus had a small hint of a grin on his face and shook his head. "Jaehyun I'm serious, Potter and his stupid friends, as well as my brother are just bad news."

Jaehyun nodded, staring back at his feet dangling of the Astronomy tower. "You know you don't hate Sirius.." He softly spoke, he knew the subject on its own was a sensitive topic for Regulus. It could bring out many different emotions and they were usually negative.

He felt Regulus his eyes stare directly at him the second he had finished his statement. "Sirius is nothing but a coward." He stated, Jaehyun sighed and shook his head.

"You know you don't mean that Reg." He replied in a soft tone, Regulus let out a sigh. "Yeah.. i don't." He said, there was a side to Regulus many wouldn't even think of seeing before their death bed.

Regulus announced that he despised his brother when all he did was cry about how he had lost him. He cared about Sirius, the depths of the earth wouldn't compete with the love Regulus carried for his brother. He would stare as his brother looked absolutely fine without him, he longed for the laughs they used to share. Those innocent laughs whenever they would draw faces on stones and name them in the middle of the night.

Jaehyun gave him a sympathetic smile, "I don't believe Sirius loathes you.. he just, I think he still believes you are on.. umh, you know what I mean.." he trailed off awkwardly, Regulus sighed and nodded. His hands flew to his hair as a frustration response.
