Chapter 14

JAEHYUN STARED AT HIS FRIEND IN CONFUSION AS TO WHAT HE WAS HEARING from Sirius and his friend. He wasn't sure who to believe and what to understand, there wasn't anything to understand. His mind was going miles per hour no car could ever reach, he felt weird. Jaehyun didn't understand why they had lied to him, did they think of him as a judgemental person? That he would judge James for catching feelings for his brothers, for shagging his brother?

"Wait- James are you.." Jaehyun did not even try to finish that sentence as he dropped his sweet to the ground as realisation hit him. That was why James had been so sore, why he had been so specifically asking about his brother's love life, why he had so many extra training sessions.

James Potter and Seohyun Ryu were hooking up, and Jaehyun was too blind to even realise.

James felt incredibly guilty, and selfish for taking something he so desperately had wanted. He wanted Seohyun, his breath and gaze that lingered on his body every time they were in the showers together, he wanted his soft touch that was so agressieve and still so luring. He wanted his friend's brother, he wanted a guy, and it felt wrong, because he was never taught that such love was okay, that it could go unpunished like any other romantic relationship.

"I- Jaehyun, I- I don't know how to say this.. Me- me and your brother.." James paused, he felt embarrassed to actually admit it. He felt like a lump in his throat was enlarging every second, he couldn't bare to admit of his actions. He looked back down to the ground and felt a small tear well up which he quickly wiped away with the end of his sleeves.

Jaehyun quickly realised how hard it was for him and immediately wrapped his arms around James his figure. His fingers softly drawing circles on his back. He did not care, if his friend was happy with his brother then so be it! The poor boy felt panicked and unsure how to react so he did what Seohyun always did to first years whenever they felt homesick or out of place.

"Hey- Hey-! I don't care that you and my brother are something, I don't care if you like a bloke, I don't care that he is a bit older, James you are my friend and Seohyun is my family!" Jaehyun exclaimed as he tried to comfort his friend, he pulled away from the hug and was met with slightly tear stained cheeks James. "You two are very important to me okay? I could never judge you for being in love with someone, I would never judge you!"

"I have been judged my entire life without people genuinely knowing me. James, I in fact do know you, and I know that you are such a kind person, therefore I trust you with my brother." He explained, his voice as gentle as a parent would coo their newborn baby. James stared at him, shocked by the calm reaction. He had very honestly, expected him to be raging like a pit of fire, but here he was, comforting him, reassuring him that he genuinely believed that him and Seohyun could work out.

"You.. You don't hate me?" James asked, bewildered by the response of his friend.

An ache in his heart had disappeared, despite knowing him for just a short amount of time he enjoyed the silly presence of the boy whose anxiety was his biggest personality trait.

Jaehyun shook his head, "Nonsense! I could never hate you for liking him, if you two are happy I trust it that it will work out!" He spoke with a genuine smile which made James his heart warm.

James blinked away a tear, feeling ridiculous for crying in front all of his friends like a child. It felt wrong to cry over something so small as if others were not having it a million times worse. "You're a good friend Jaehyun.. I- Thank you."

"I try to be."

"You still think he is a deatheater?" Remus asked with his brows a bit higher raised than usual, Sirius scowled at his friend. Unsure how to admit his fault of judgement he just looked back at the pair.
