As I gaze upon the galaxies
I see the rush that's deep in between
Burst of colors
Rippled with you
All the things that hide in truth
I search long
I gaze far
I saw the portal just beyond your star
Darker than some
Wider than most
The light shines dim just upon the surface
It twinkles at times
Flickers at most
I try to preserve that presence
But my efforts know no tricks or games
I hope to see your star remain
But the fire will soon diminish
As the smoke travels through space and time
Those colored eyes fade
And soon mimic those of mine.
