I've never had a smile so wide,
A glow so bright,
My mind is all mine.
I can see so vivid,
So clear, so near,
My confidence has accelerated.
So high to the sky,
I can't imagine coming down.
I miss you dearly,
But your absence has shown me different.
It was myself that was missing,
7 long years in the dark,
Apart from the purpose bestowed upon me.
I love you, I do,
And my heart always will,
But now I'm free,
Of the dark,
The pain,
The shame.
If only I'd felt this free with you.
