Training

"Alright, who's—" Sykkuno's sentence was cut short because he tried to evade a flying nerf bullet. "Not even a warning?" Rae was too focused on predicting his next move. She released two nerf bullets, one going to the left, and the other one slightly to the right.

Sykkuno ducked, evading both bullets. Rae gritted her teeth, she was running low on bullets. "Sykkuno, stop moving!" Rae said that hoping it'll make him laugh potentially slowing his speed down.

As she predicted he stood still covering his mouth while laughing at her silliness. Rae smirked, taking the opportunity to shoot three bullets. One to the right, one in case he ducks, and one to the left. She was surprised when stopped covering his mouth and he was still smiling. He jumped, barely evading her bullets.

'One bullet left.' she decided to charge at him.

"Oh jesus! She's rabid!" They both laughed as their game of target practice turned into a game of tag. Rae felt pain creeping from her ankles, but decided to ignore it. The painkillers were wearing off. Her speed slowed down a lot, but so did Sykkuno. They stood side by side catching their breath.

Rae smirked as she pointed a gun at Sykkuno's head. She was the first to recover. "Game over." Her index finger pulled the trigger, but Sykkuno tilted his head to the side evading the nerf bullet.

"And I won." That was her last bullet, so Sykkuno won by default.

"Ooh, so close." Rae threw the gun on a nearby bench, and Sykkuno took out his rubber knife.

He swung at her almost immediately. His first swing she evaded effortlessly, but his second swing nearly grazed her neck. "Careful, Rae." She wanted to wipe that smug look on his face.

She attacked his hand, trying to pry the knife off of him, but he spun her around and held the knife at her neck.  "I won." He whispered in her ear. Rae felt a shiver run up her spine. The back of the knife lightly tapped her.

"That's another win for the week. Be honest with me. Do you think I would ever beat you?" She was genuinely losing hope. He was just better than her in battle and in combat.

"Yeah, I was surprised when you tried to pry the knife off. A bit more practice, and you'll beat me for sure." His response gave her courage. She rested her head on his chest, while listening to his advice. "Next time, you can try to throw me off balance like what I did to you."

"I can't spin you around and point the knife! You're taller than me." Rae commented.

"You can target my legs. Like this!" Sykkuno suddenly swept his foot against her causing her to lose balance, but he caught her mid-air before she crashed on the floor.

Now, he was carrying her like a princess. His movement was fast. "Wow, that was fast." Sykkuno smiled at her comment.

"That's the point of the move. Your advantage has always been swiftness, Rae. If you can train that I have no doubts that you'll win." He explained. "Aren't you worried I'll drop you?" He asked her, seeing that she wasn't even a bit worried.

"No, I trust you." Her reply made him smile.

"Ehem!" Sykkuno turned upon hearing a familiar voice. There in the distance walked 2 figures. One was an annoyed looking Corpse, and the other was Vivi who appeared to be pestering Corpse.

"Are you really gonna keep that mask on? You can't hide forever." Corpse just rolled his eyes.

"Corpse, Vivi, what are you doing here?" Vivi's eyes sparkled upon seeing Sykkuno.
