"I thought the identity of Unspeakables was supposed to be a secret to those that don't work here?" Andromeda commented as Ana let them into her office.
"Maybe in normal situations, but for the individual it depends on who they trust. Besides, it can't be told that I am one. Enchantments and such of past Unspeakables stops that from happening. I personally only know the true identity of a few Unspeakables, normally it doesn't get revealed to the rest of the Ministry records until someone dies or they retire."
"And Rookwood?" Andromeda inquired.
"Deceased, he broke the rules. He payed for that." She replied nonchalantly. "Pandora Lovegood was an Unspeakable if I remember that print for the Daily Prophet.
"I stopped reading the Prophet by then," Andromeda said.
Ana smirked while sifting through the files in her desk. "Should there be a time that everyone stops reading that garbage, we might actually get some peace."
"Could always just shut it down," she suggested. Obviously having read that the Potters own the majority of the Daily Prophet's business.
"I can't make decisions like that for Harry, it would have to be him to do it."
Andromeda then turned to Harry who looked a little stunned at learning that he could shut down the Daily Prophet just by agreeing to it. That thought now weighed down on him as if it was a physical object.
"You can take time to think about it, it is your decision alone to make," Ana quickly told him. Not personally wanting him to make any rash decisions because of how the paper is trying to destroy his credibility. Harry just nodded.
Anastasia went back to her sifting and speedily pulled out a few pieces of parchment here and there. Only just barely glancing at the titles on each of them but knowing that she needed them. She usually let her magic lead her to what she needed in the office. Acting solely on subconscious thoughts and magic.
Once she finished feeling the pulls on her magic, she shut the drawers. Picking up all the files that she needed to take with them. Finally looking up at Harry and Andromeda, files in hand.
"These will be needed for different parts of the proceedings, though some may not need to be used anyways. It all depends on how far they decide to take this," Ana handed the stack of parchment to Andromeda.
Andy looked over some of the pieces before giving Ana a quizzical look. "Some of these are confidential files, are you sure you can use these?"
"As Second in Command down here I can basically do as I please with any files that sit in my office. Should anyone try to dispute them then I can just get signed permission in minutes from Croaker. It's not like he cares about most of the things that I do anyways. As long as I haven't destroyed one of his precious rooms, he'll be fine."
Andromeda just nodded at her before looking over at Harry who was just standing there looking kind of confused. As soon as he noticed the eyes on him, he just shrugged away his confused nature before making his face become neutral again.
'Just like his mother,' Ana thought to herself. 'Kind of scary how similar they actually are. I don't think anyone else has pieced that together.'
Ana physically shook the thought from her head before directing her attention to the note that just flew through her office door. She quickly grabbed it out of the air, the note read:
"Lady Peverell,
Your presence is required in Courtroom 10 for the trial of Harry Potter at 8 am. Should you fail to arrive then your votes on the matter will not be considered as this will be the only time, we should need to hold a trial like this. Do not forget your Wizengamot robes.
Corneilius Fudge, The Minister of Magic"
She stole a quick glance at the clock before speaking to Andromeda, "Make a mental note of this. Time-change for a trial with no notice until 10 minutes before said trial starts. As a very important and old family, the Peverell's should not be informed so late."
"Not to mention that they didn't send one to Harry, just so they could run the trial without hearing his defense. Essentially exiling him without him even being here. I can run with that, there are many things wrong with that."
"We should head out; we can take the stairs down to Level 10," Ana informs them. Taking one more glance around her office before leading the other two back down the hall they had previously walked down.
For Harry it felt like the walk took forever, he could've sworn that there weren't this many doors when they had walked down this hall earlier. It almost seemed like the end of the hall was never going to arrive. Time might as well have slowed down. He couldn't stop thinking about what will happen during the trial. Would they really try to have him exiled?
Suddenly Ana pulled him to a stop, they were in front of very large and dark wooden doors. They didn't look old but along with everything else in the wizarding world Harry just assumed that they are very old.
"It'll be ok Prongslet. I'll be in my seat in the top row on the right when you get in there. Mrs. Tonks knows exactly what she's doing, and she knows exactly how those purebloods think as well. You have nothing to worry about," Ana tried reassuring him. Though it didn't look like it did much he did lose some tension in his shoulders. She took that as a win for now.
She bid her farewells to both of them before disappearing behind the doors. Harry had caught a small glimpse of the Courtroom. It reminded him of the memory he had stepped into in Dumbldore's office last year. 'Maybe they are using the same room for me?' He thought to himself. That increased his nerves in the matter even more.
Suddenly the doors were opened up to him and as he stepped in, he had all eyes on him.
