Ch 2

The next two days rush by and Lucas and I are rushing through the airport each wearing a cap and mask trying to hurry for our flight. Once we reach the right boarding gate we immediately board in first class and get settled into our seats. I'm seated next to the window and look outside nervously biting my lip. I turn my head to see Lucas settled into the seat listening to music through headphones. I take a shaky breath before grabbing ahold of the armrests tightly as we take off. After a moment of panicking I feel a tap on my shoulder and look over to see a concerned Lucas who hands over an earbud. I hesitantly take it then slowly put it in my ear relaxing a little when I hear a soft melody. I give Lucas a thankful look and he just grins at me. Soon I'm relaxed enough to fall asleep to the soothing music in my ear.

(Time skip)

Next thing I know I'm gently being shaken awake. Slowly opening my eyes I rub the sleep from them before sitting up and look around in confusion before focusing on Lucas. "We landed. Let's go before we make our ride wait any longer." I nod fully awake now and get up following Lucas out of the plane and into the airport. We keep our masks and caps on and grab our luggage before heading outside. Lucas looks around for a minute before heading over to a van with a man also in a mask standing by it. Lucas stops in front of the man and gives a cheerful "hello Kun." The man glares at Lucas' loudness and motions for us to get into the van. I can't help but giggle a little and get into the back while Lucas sits in the passenger seat. Once we're all in the van we take off our masks and caps. The man who I now know is Kun gives me a soft warm smile. "Hello you must be Jiang. I'm Kun the leader of the group. If you need anything please don't hesitate to come to me." I give a little nod and a shy "thank you." His expression softens then he starts the car and starts driving. I look out the window watching everything pass by until we reach a building. We get out of the van and I grab my small luggage following Lucas and Kun inside. We head up to a higher floor and I'm lead to a door where I hear loud noises coming from it. Seeing Kun sigh he opens the door and I follow him and Lucas inside. I stay hidden behind Lucas feeling shy and nervous gently clutching onto the back of his jacket. Soon I hear Kun's scolding tone. "You could at least put down the games long enough to give a greeting." I peek my head around Lucas a little to see a boy around my age speak up. "Why? It's only Lucas." I can't help but smile when Lucas gives an offended "hey!" He huffs a little before trying to step aside but can't because of how tightly I'm gripping his jacket. He tries to turn and shake me off but epically fails. Soon I hear an amused "what's he doing?" The others giving amused giggles or looks. Finally Lucas manages to shake me loose with a "geez you little spider monkey." I give him a look then turn my head and freeze seeing five other boys sitting there staring at me. "Who's this?" A boy with long dark hair speaks up looking curious. Lucas puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "This is my cousin he's going to be living with us." It's quiet for a moment before I hear a bunch of "oh's" and "okay's." Kun gives me a reassuring smile. "So I hope you don't mind but your rooming with Xiaojun." My eyes widen in a slight panic looking up at Lucas who just gives my shoulder a gentle squeeze whispering a "It'll be fine. He's really nice." I give him a wary look before looking over the five boys anxiously. Kun seeing my anxiety speaks up. "Xiaojun can you show him your room?" A boy with blonde hair and bushy eyebrows nods and gets up motioning me to follow. I reluctantly grab my small suitcase and follow him silently. He opens the door leading me inside a neat room with two beds. One of them is made up and has a guitar beside it I looking at it curiously but quickly look away when Xiaojun sees me staring. I quickly bypass him and go over to the newly made bed and put my suitcase down on it. I put away my little amount of things before turning to look at Xiaojun. He looks like he's about to say something when there's a knock on the door and Kun pokes his head in. "Come on to the living room Jiang I want to introduce you to everyone else." I give a little nod and follow Kun to the living room. I immediately go over to sit beside Lucas and look over at everyone giving a little wave once someone tells me their name. It's then that Kun announces he's fixing dinner and I look at Lucas with a frown and nod towards the bedrooms. He frowns slightly but I guess he can see how tired I am because he gives a little nod. "Alright sure go ahead and rest." I give a little thankful smile and get up going to mine and Xiaojun's room and go over to my bed taking off my shoes then climb into the bed and slowly fall asleep.
