Ch 15

The next few days are hectic. Everyone's working hard to practice their routines and record their parts. While I stay in the back and watch. I've also made friends with just about everyone though but especially the dreamies and the newest members Shotaro and Sungchan who I think make the most adorable little couple. Currently I'm sitting in the back of the practice room and chat with Renjun during break we both having a discussion on aliens being real. "Like there's gotta be some other life out there we can't be the only ones." He grins at me and says cheerfully. "Exactly! We can't be the only ones." I smile and soon the other dreamies join us Jaemin immediately groaning when he hears our topic. "Why did you have to bring up this topic." I shrug looking over at Renjun. "I don't even remember how it came up but you gotta admit aliens are real." They all shake their heads in amusement and sit down surrounding us. I see Haechan snuggled up to Mark and can't help but smile at their cuteness but my gaze ends up looking over at Xiaojun longingly. Letting out a little sigh I look down at the floor sadly. It's been two weeks since we last talked and I miss him. Suddenly though Lucas rushes over to me and asks to speak with me privately. Giving him a confused look I get up and follow him away from the others to a corner. He then looks at me nervously. "I need your advice on asking someone on a first date but I'm scared to ask them and be alone with them." I hum then look thoughtful. "Well you could do a double date. That way it won't be awkward being alone with them at first." He nods then looks at me pleadingly. "Will you do it? Be the second half of the double date?" I let out a sigh but nod. "Yeah just let me find someone." He gives me an appreciative look. "Great. Meet me at the mall tonight." I nod and watch him leave then head over towards Xiaojun. Only to feel my heart break when he runs away. Sighing I turn on my heel and go over to Hendery who's joking around with Yangyang. "I need a favor." He turns and looks at me curiously. "What's the favor?" I fiddle with my fingers anxiously. "Lucas needs me to go on a double date with someone and since Xiaojun won't talk to me will you be my date tonight?" He blinks at me for a moment before nodding giving me a reassuring smile. "Of course I'll always be there for you." I smile and immediately thank him giving him a quick hug then run off to talk to Sicheng about outfits.

(Xiaojun's Pov)

Listening in on Jiang and Hendery's conversation I immediately feel a pang in my chest when I hear him ask Hendery out on a date. Unable to focus on practice after that I run to the dorm when it's over. I go to the room I'm sharing with Kun and start pacing running a hand through my hair. "Are you alright Xiaojun?" I stop and look at Kun in annoyance. "Not really. I've been feeling weird about Jiang lately. Like every time I'm around him my heart and stomach starts doing flips and whenever he's with Hendery I just wanna punch Hendery in the face. Which is ridiculous because he's my best friend." Kun just gives me a knowing amused look. "How do you feel when Jiang is sad?" I blink and frown. "I get sad to. And I feel all protective because he might hurt himself again." He nods then says gently. "Have you every thought that you might have feelings for him?" I go to deny it when I just stop and really think about it. How he's always on my mind and how I wanna make sure he's safe and taken care of. Groaning I bury my face in my hands. "I'm so stupid. I love him. I'm in love with him and now it's probably to late because he's going on a date with Hendery tonight." Kun gives me a sad sympathetic look. "You could do like the movies and do a grand romantic gesture for him while he's on the date." I blink then grin. "That's exactly what I'm gonna do." Kun blinks at me and frowns as I rush out the door. "I was joking! Don't do that! Xiaojun!" I ignore him and go to get things prepared going to multiple stores like the flower shop and a convenience store for chocolates then rush to the mall pure determination filling me.
