Chapter 43 : Finally together.

Third person point of view

The next morning Elijah was the one who woke up first. He saw Joshua who was still cuddled up on his side. He slowly moved away and got out of bed. He walked to the bathroom to finish his business. He came out and saw Joshua who was still asleep. He took out some tablets and placed them on the side table along with water. 

He saw Joshua who was still peacefully sleeping and wandering in dreamland. He sat down on the bed beside Joshua. He slowly patted Joshua's head and smiled. He brushed Joshua's hair out of his face. He ran his thumb over Joshua's cheek. He got up and walked out of the room. He went to the kitchen to make breakfast. 

Joshua woke up and felt like his head was going to split. He had a very bad headache. He squinted at the light and closed his eyes again. He slowly opened them again. He held his head and tried sitting up. He looked around the room and felt a little confused. It wasn't his room. There was no one besides him in the room. 

He saw the tablets and water placed on the side and picked them up. He gulped down the tablet along with the water. He removed the blanket and looked down at his dress and tried remembering the events from the previous night. He scratched his head. Even though he was drunk, he remembered everything. 

Him getting drunk, getting caught and being chased by Alex, Elijah appearing out of the blue, their kiss and all other things that happened after coming home too. But he doesn't remember changing his clothes. He tilted his head. " Did Elijah change it ? " He said to himself and his eyes went wide. 

His brain paused for a second right there. " Elijah ? " His mind started functioning again. That meant Elijah did come back home. He hurriedly got out of bed getting tangled with the blanket. He removed it and threw it on the bed and rushed out of the room. He checked the living room and then went to the kitchen. 

He stopped right at the door. He saw Elijah cooking near the stove and it felt like a heavy weight was removed from his chest. He slowly walked in and Elijah turned around to look at Joshua. " Morning. Did you take the tablet ? " Joshua nodded. " I did ". " Good. This will be done in a while. Sit down ". Elijah said going back to cooking.

Joshua walked up to Elijah and stood beside him. Elijah saw Joshua was standing there and lowered the heat. He then turned to Joshua giving him his full attention. He looked at him, up and down. " What happened ? Are you not feeling well ? " He put his hand to Joshua's forehead and it was normal. Joshua shook his head and stood with his head low. 

" Not that........ Will you pretend like all of that never happened again ? Will you go back to ignoring me ? " His voice was low and anyone can say he sounded really sad. Elijah never saw Joshua look that small in his eyes. He pulled Joshua closer by his waist. Joshua looked up with wide eyes. He put his hands on Elijah's chest. 

" No. I won't ". Elijah declared with a smile and Joshua just stared at him with his mouth agape. The butterflies in his stomach were yet to calm down. Elijah spoke again seeing Joshua was not responding. " What about you ? Will you be able to withstand it all ? " Joshua gulped and nodded his head with determination. Elijah smiled a bit wider holding Joshua tighter. 

" Don't worry about anything. We can take it slow ". Joshua bit his lower lip and nodded again. Elijah's eyes looked down at Joshua's lips. Joshua saw Elijah's eyes drift to his lips. Elijah bent forward, but Joshua moved back a little and covered Elijah's mouth with his hand. Elijah raised his eyebrows. Joshua removed his hand and the tips of his ears have turned red. 

" What is it ? " Elijah asked wondering what it was. " I didn't brush my teeth yet ". Joshua said in a small voice scratching his head. Elijah didn't expect it at all. He chuckled shaking his head. He pinched Joshua's cheeks making them redder. Joshua frowned a little. He pulled out of Elijah's arms. " I.... " He showed his thumb towards the door. " I will be back ". 

Joshua rushed to his room. He entered the bathroom and saw his face which was red as an apple. He put his hand to his chest to feel his heart which was beating too hard. He will never be able to forget the way his heart fluttered and the butterflies in his stomach that came to life at Elijah's touch. He quickly finished brushing his teeth and washed his face. 

He wiped his face dry with a towel and tried to press down his hair which looked really bad right now. He noticed that he didn't have any makeup. So Elijah even did that for him. His face turned red again when he thought about Elijah changing his clothes and doing all of this for him. He suppressed the goofy smile and went back to the kitchen. 

The food was already served and Joshua sat down to eat it. He saw Elijah was sitting in his usual place, opposite him and drinking coffee. Joshua started eating the food. He didn't look up and only concentrated on the food. " Can I ask you something ? " Elijah said catching Joshua's attention. Joshua knew it was definitely something about yesterday. 

He took a silent breath and nodded slowly. " What exactly was that ? " Elijah put his cup away and moved forward resting his elbows on the island. Joshua gulped down the food and looked up. He knew Elijah wasn't exactly angry but he was definitely not cool about it. Joshua cleared his throat and explained all the things that happened. 

Elijah was listened with a straight face all the while, but his eyes were burning a hole through Joshua's face. Lasers might start coming out of his eyes. Joshua took a deep breath when he was done. He saw a little bit of rage in Elijah's eyes for the first time. He should agree he was a bit intimidating. " So Nicholas has a hold of it now ? " 

Elijah asked that after listening to it all. Joshua nodded. Elijah also nodded. " Next. What were you thinking ? Dressing up like that ? And... all of that ". Joshua gave a tight lipped smile rubbing his neck. " About that......" He chuckled awkwardly. " Don't you dare do that again ". Elijah warned seriously. Joshua shrugged. 

" What if there is a necessity ? I cannot decide the future ". " You are NOT allowed to do that. Got it ? " Elijah said firmly. Joshua nodded. " Why are you acting so possessive ? " Joshua muttered and continued eating his food. Elijah wanted to say something but stopped himself. He shook his head and continued to drink his coffee.

Elijah : (smiles) I guess I can take my leave now. 

Author : (waves)

Elijah leaves the room.

Author and BR : ( making incomprehensible and inhuman noises and squeals while jumping around ) They are together !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foot steps approaching.

Author and BR : (sit back calmly)

Elijah enters the room again.

Elijah : (picks up his phone) I forgot this. Bye. (walks out)

Author : That was close.

BR : (wipes sweat) phew~
