Chapter 70 : Visiting places for evidences.

Third person point of view

Joshua woke up in the middle of the night. He rolled around trying to fall asleep but couldn't fall asleep. He gulped feeling his throat was too dry. He turned to the side and picked up the bottle by his bed side, but it was empty. He sighed sitting up. He walked out of the room still a little sleepy and walked towards the kitchen. 

He saw the lights were on when he went closer and his mind was on alert. He wondered if someone broke in. He looked around to see if he can find something to hit or protect himself at least. But didn't find anything. He sighed walking with light steps and saw Elijah drinking water. He let out a breath and walked in.

Elijah put his glass aside and turned to Joshua. " What happened ? " Joshua rubbed his eyes. " I wanted to drink water. I couldn't go back to sleep for a while ". Elijah gestured for Joshua to come closer. He pulled him closer by his waist hugging him. Joshua put his hands around Elijah. Elijah rubbed his cheek on Joshua's head.

" Want to sleep in my room ? " Joshua nodded. " I wanted to come to your room after drinking water ". Elijah didn't expect it. He let out a sigh. He poured water for Joshua and handed it to him. " Here ". Joshua drank it and they walked to Elijah's room. Elijah pulled Joshua closer and Joshua closed his eyes to fall asleep.

He fell asleep faster than he thought he would. Elijah sighed feeling relieved. If he was even a minute late, he would've got caught. He could've just got out it easily anyway. He turned to look at Joshua who was asleep. " I will protect you no matter what ". Elijah said in a whisper and kissed Joshua's forehead. He closed his eyes and fell asleep too.

The next morning, Elijah woke up to his alarm. He turned it off and turned to Joshua. " Joshua..... wake up ". Joshua twitched a little but didn't wake up. " Baby, wake up ". Elijah tried again. Joshua furrowed his eyebrows. " I want to sleep~ " " We need t- " Joshua moved closer hugging Elijah tighter. 

He tilted his head giving a kiss on Elijah's neck and burying his head in the crook of his neck. " Just today. Please~~ " He said in his sleepy voice and fell asleep again. Elijah was still dumbstruck by what just happened. By the time he came out of it, Joshua was off to dreamland again. He smiled and decided to just sleep too. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Joshua woke up after a while and found himself in Elijah's embrace. He slowly got out of bed and checked the time. His eyes went wide and he ran to his room in a rush. He slept in and if he doesn't hurry up, he is going to be late. He quickly finished his routine and picked up a bowl of cereal for breakfast. 

" When did you wake up ? " He turned to Elijah who was standing at the door frame. " A while ago ". He continued to eat in a hurry. " Eat slowly. You will choke or spill it. Be careful ". Elijah said still standing as he watched Joshua finish it quickly. " Why didn't you wake me up ? " " I did. But you didn't wake up and fell asleep again saying you want to sleep more ". 

Joshua rubbed his chin and remembered. He looked up at Elijah with a goofy grin. He finished eating and put the bowl away. " Hehe. Sorry. Anyways I will get going. I don't want to be late. See you ". He kissed Elijah's cheek and walked out. Once Joshua left, Elijah walked back to his room to sleep. He didn't sleep long enough the before night and wanted to catch up on it. 

He fell asleep. Late into the afternoon, Nicholas came to visit Elijah. " Here ". Nicholas checked through the files which they got from the office before night. " He did do a lot. When do you want me to give you the addresses ? " " Today ". " Fine. I guess I will just text them to you then ". Elijah nodded. " Did everything go fine ? " Nicholas nodded. 

" Everything under control ". " Good ". " I will go and send them then. Bye ". Elijah nodded and Nicholas left. Joshua came back and went to the kitchen. He got water and sat down. " Nicholas sent the addresses ". Joshua looked at them. " They look really remote ". " They are ". " How about we visit them once too ? " Elijah nodded. " Fine ". Joshua nodded.

The car Nicholas gave was still with them. So they took that and went to one of the locations. It was almost 2 hours away from where they are. When they reached, it looked like they were near some forest. " Why is it like this ? " Joshua said and they reached the destination. They couldn't drive in, so they left the car to the side and walked in. 

As they walked in, they found a house not too faraway. They slowly walked towards the house. Joshua tried to open but it was locked. He turned to Elijah. They heard some noise and went to the back side to hide. They heard the door being opened and people were talking. Elijah put Joshua to the wall and tilted his body to see though the window. 

He saw Alex and William. Joshua saw them too but stood back again. Elijah was facing him and Joshua was trying to concentrate to listen to their conversation. " What is it with James ? " Alex asked sitting down on a chair. " You know how he is. Don't bother yourself with him. I will take care of it ". Alex nodded. 

" That boss is back of me. Why is he being so hot headed about it this time around ? We aren't new to this, yet he is going mad for it ". William nodded. " How about we sell more this time then ? " " There are a few gangs behind us. We need to be cautious before doing something ". Alex rubbed his forehead. 

Joshua turned to look at Elijah and immediately met his eyes. " What ? " Elijah shook his head. Joshua heard more footsteps, but not from inside the house. Joshua looked over and found three guys walking towards the house. He stepped back and a twig broke. He froze there and Elijah moved closer covering Joshua.

Also I realized there might be new readers who haven't read my previous book and will not know this. I release chapters on Friday ( for me ) because when I wrote my previous BL there was a series which was airing and I was really into it at that time. It is still one of my favorites. So it aired on a night slot on Fridays. So I thought it would be nice to use it as a resemblance or idk what to call it, but yeah I wanted to and started this thing of uploading on Fridays.
