"Welp, it's confirmed, it's made out of the same material as the other weapons our previous protectors had, the sword is very sturdy, seemingly unbreakable and cannot be recreated unless he's an absolute mastermind."
Dionus confirmed for the group that stood around him, the sword and all the different samples.

"Thank you for your time and effort, Dionus. It is greatly appreciated." Onyx said to his scientist.

"Eh, no problem sir, this thing is absolutely fascinating to me!" Dionus called out while feeling the sword.

"Well, according to the files, Nexus did once attend a pristine science university and was a top student so it wouldn't surprise me if he was capable of recreating a sacred object." Prax pointed out.

"Ah, so he's a fellow scientist! But even I wouldn't be capable of it and you know I'm well known for my work." Dionus argued back.

"Why doesn't he just demonstrate this 'power' the sword gives him?"
Red suggested.

"Red, I know you're young but even you should know about the old stories of the protectors of earth," Rax looked at him dissapointedly "but basically he can judge someone for something incredibly bad they've committed and will decide whether they'll go to hell, get locked away or stay free. A trial will be started by using his sword." He informed Red.

"Which means he can only use this 'power' when he starts a trial, otherwise it's a normal sword." Ionix concluded.

Red looked to the ground, dissapointed.

"Ey, you'll see soon enough kid, Tronix is in desperate need of a trial.." he tried to cheer up Red which worked only a little.

"So..can we trust him?" Iocus asked the team.

"No." Prax hissed.

"Prax please, Ionix, please check on our prisoner." Onyx ordered.

Ionix simply nodded and left for a while, coming back a few minutes later.

"Is he still in his cell?" The leader asked.

"Indeed." Ionix confirmed.

"Another reason to trust Nexus." Onyx concluded.

Prax looked at him with shocked confusion while the others just waited for an explanation.

"He could have easily escaped the prison, stolen from us and left the base, but never did." Onyx tried to reason.

"So it was a sort of test.." Rax realized.

"I'm on your side Onyx but what if he's just trying to get on our good side?" Iocus asked.

"Maybe he is but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, we are also lacking in soldiers and having Nexus, the ex-SIC and a protector, could give us a good advantage." Onyx explained.

"I'm with you on this as well, sir." Dionus declared.

"He saved me and others, what else can I say?" Rax agreed.

"I think he's a good kid who was just hanging with the wrong crowd." Ionix said next.

"I trust you on this." Red said as well.

Prax couldn't believe that his own teammates are considering  to take in an enemy as one of their own! But everyone seemed to be onboard so all he could do was reluctantly 'agree'.

"What ever.." he grumbled.

"Nexus will still be under watch for some time of course-"

"I could take him in as a sort of student for the time being!" Dionus suddenly proposed and raised his hand.
