"We need a new strategy for battle. It is getting harder and harder for us to win the battles against Tronix, any ideas?" Rax reminded the team, noticing they came back with lesser and lesser rescources but more and more injuries which they can barely aford to treat these days since the government went down completely, no longer getting medical equipment.
Nexus spoke up with excitement.
"It may not be battle related but I've got a pretty good idea on how to get back at the Oppressors.""If you think it could help us in the war then go ahead." Onyx said.
"How about we try to find the base, I go over there, then claim I wanna join-"
"Are you stupid!?" Prax suddenly cut him off, knowing this is a crazy idea.
"N-...maybe a bit. But hear me out! I convince Tronix that I am still on his side, join him again but instead of being an actual Oppressor, I spy on them." Nexus explained while looking smug, thinking this is a, pretty risky, but good idea.
"As if he'll take you in that easily and what about the others like Chronos?" Prax questioned, thinking- no, knowing that it wont be that easy.
"Trust me Prax, Tronix is an idiot and he'll tell Chronos to shut up.
Plus, he seems desperate to get me back amongst his rank, perhaps even as his SIC so I'm sure he won't bother that much with my credibility. But if I do have to proof myself, I'll put another plan into action.""Which is?" Rax asked, now kind of intrigued about this potentially dangerous but useful plan.
"I'll tell them immediately the coordinates of 'our base' which will actually be some random coordinates and we'll immediately set out in order to overrun your base but also test my legitimacy but before we can reach that place, you'll meet us halfway, making it look like as if you came from 'your base'. Obviously a fight will ensue but you'll be prepared, pushing us back until we retreat." he explained, proud of his plan.
"But wouldn't they come back once Tronix reassembles himself?" Prax wondered.
Nexus had an answer to that as well, as he's thought about this for a while.
"They will, but if the coordinates actually lead to an empty building that could've been a base once, they'll think you've left, evacuated.""That..makes sense." Prax admitted, kind of being impressed by his ideas.
"I became SIC for a reason after all."
"And how will you report to us back?" Dionus now asked a valid question.
Of course, Nexus had an answer.
"I will implement a new well encrypted, non traceable and detectable comm. system into my armour so Vultus won't detect it, one that me and Dionus will develop. Don't worry, I already got the blueprints. And of course I'll be careful when talking to you guys.""But if anything happens, you'll get out of there!" Rax ordered seriously, not wanting something happening to Nexus.
"Alright alright. So, since I'll have to act like an Opressor again..sorry if I shoot you or insult you guys." Nexus warned.
"Same goes for us, sorry if we shoot ya." Ionix apologized in advance.
"So, we going through with this plan?" Red now asked since it was never confirmed they would.
"This could be quite dangerous." Onyx reasoned.
"But if it works, I could provide a big amount of information that could help us win this war!" Nexus pointed out confidently.
He was sure this plan would work well mostly."Are you sure?" Onyx asked, looking at Nexus in concern.
"Yes."
"..alright, you will go and develop the new comm. system while the rest of us will search for coordinates of an old, empty base and the Oppressors base. I trust you on this Nexus."
