Atlas P.O.V.

It's almost 2 a.m. so I get up and start getting ready. "Ready for what?" you must be asking. Well I'm getting ready to go to the cliff again. I'm going to get some fresh air and because the view is nice. It has nothing to do with the gorgeous boy I talked to until 6 this morning.

Nope.

Nothing.

Who am I kidding? It's completely and utterly because of him. I couldn't stop thinking about him all day. Jade kept asking and eventually I had to tell her. She was probably more excited than I was.

I put on my favorite pair of black ripped jeans, a white top and a pink hoodie. I pulled on my black Air Force Ones. Glancing at the mirror and running a comb through my hair I teleport outside and make my way to the cliff. It seemed to take a lot longer than the last time and I was kinda nervous.

When I got to the cliff he wasn't there. I'll admit, my heart sank a bit. I decided to sit on and wait. Maybe I got here early. Then I realize that we never agreed to meet.

Atlas, you are an idiot.

But I mean it was implied. RIGHT!?

Yeah no. I sat there for another hour and he still didn't come. I was about to get up and cut my losses when I heard the crack of branches. I perked up and looked in the direction the sound had come from, waiting for him to appear.

It was a dog!!!!!!!

A puppy to be specific. It was adorable sure but he wasn't what I was hoping for. Not in the least. I felt betrayed. By who? All the potatoes in the damn universe!

I sighed...very loudly. I focused on my attention on the puppy. It looked like a labrador or a golden retriever. I slowly approached it and gently called out to it. It looked lost. It started walking around my in circles. It was so cute! I look around as if the owner was just going to appear. I looked back down at the puppy.

Well I couldn't just leave it here all alone. And Jade did say she wanted a dog eventually. How about now? She'll love it. With that I pick up the puppy and make my way back home. At least something came good came from this expedition.

.........

"ATLAS HARLAN PIERCE !!!"

I spring up from my bed.

Oh no. She's mad.

I don't get the chance to even hide before she bursts into my room, only dressed in a morning gown, bunny slippers and a hairnet.

"I'm sorry!" I instinctively say.

"Why is there a dog in our apartment?" she demands.

"Well, I found him yesterday."

"It wasn't here when I went to bed," she narrows her eyes in a glare.

"Yeah. When I went to see Xavion-"

Her eyes lit up with mischief and excitement at the mention of his name.

"Oooooh. How did it go with lover boy?" She sits on my bed, cross-legged, waiting for the story. I swear on marshmellows she is bi-polar.

"Come on, tell me all the dirty details," she urges, wiggling her eyebrows.

I sigh, "There are none to be told of, sadly."

Her face contorts to one of confusion, "Why not?" She practically whines.

"Well , for one he didn't show up."

"He flaked on you?! Oh hell no. Grab me a bat." she says in mock seriousness.

"Jade, how many times have I told you that you can't go around attacking people," I play along.

"No one and I mean NO ONE flakes on my baby," she continues.

"It's not like we had agreed on anything," I say matter of factly.

"IT WAS IMPLIED THOUGH!"

"I KNOW RIGHT? THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING!"

We stare at each other for a moment before we fell into a fit of giggles. After we finally calm down Jade asks, "But like seriously, where did the dog come from?"

"He came out from the bushes. I didn't see anyone around so, I brought him home," as if summoned the dog walks in, "He so cute! Can we keep him? PLEASE!"

"Oh, we are definitley keeping him," she states and picks up the little ball of fur.

"We need a name for him," she mentions, "I was thinking Skylar."

"No, I decided on Potato."

"For a dog?"

"What's wrong with it. He's brown with little speckles. Potato is perfect. Plus he's my dog."

"You mean our dog."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, but I found him."

She hugs him tight and growls, "Mine!"

I stare at her for a second, "Wierdo."

"I love you too. Now go clean up the shit he left in my kitchen. Now."

Oh dear potato farms.

.....

I was once again sitting on the cliff's edge. Waiting. I hadn't come since last Sunday. It's Saturday and I'm only here since I don't have work tomorrow. After thirty minutes of blasting Sara Kays I'm ready to get going. But I don't get up.

"Hey."

It's him and he sits next to me.

"About fucking time," I try to sound mad but I can't stop the smile on my face.
