We arrived at the station with Gus' parents and my siblings, as well as Angie who just arrived in town.
"I can not believe you found a body." Angie stated.
"We were carolling." I stated.
"Besides, if he was actually going to commit suicide he would have locked the front door." She added.
"Thank you." Me and Shawn told as one.
"Perks of solving murders." She stated.
Once we reached the conference room, Gus knocked on the door letting them know we were here.
"We're here to give our official statements for the Fuller case." Shawn told.
"Minus my cousin." I added.
"Yes. About that. Um, our investigation has confirmed Mr. Spencer's hunches." Lassie told.
"Ah, really?" Shawn mused before turning to the Gusters. "He was murdered."
"That's 27 and counting." Gus added.
"What's happening?" Angie whispered to me, Spencer and my siblings.
"We'll explain later." We all whispered back.
"Do you folks mind coming on in for a moment? Just have a seat. Make yourselves comfortable. Chair's right over there. I thought we could, uh, have more privacy this way." Lassie told before looking towards our cousin. "You can't."
"She helps solves murders with the fbi." I stated as Bill held a chair out for Winnie.
"It's fine. I'll wait outside and look around the place or something. Besides I should really check up on Jack." She told before leaving the room and Lassie closed the door behind her.
"Why? What, is there a problem?" Shawn questioned.
"Yeah you are acting very strange Lassie. More so then usual." I added.
"Still cute though." Peter told making Edgar cover his mouth so we would have some form of serious in the room.
"Well, this report says that there were traces of weed killer found in Mr. Fuller's system." He explained.
"Poison. I sensed that as well." Shawn admitted making my cousins give me a confused look and I waved it off again.
'This is not great.'
"There's just one slight problem. We found a box of the same type of weed killer on Mr. Guster's property. Can you explain that?" Lassie told.
"Whoa, whoa, now. Slow your roll. I can explain that. Me and Fuller had a long-time feud about the property line. And every now and then I'd poison his shrubs because he refused to cut them back." Bill explained.
"Bill, that's not like you." Winnie stated.
"I mean you never mess with a man's lawn. But Fuller kinda deserved it, he was a massive wanker." I stated.
"How about this? Blunt force trauma to the head of the deceased was done caused by a bloody hammer found nearby with prints belonging to a Mr. William Guster." Lassie told showing there was some evidence backing up this line of possibility.
'Mhmm. This may not be good.'
"Yeah, but if you'd looked a little closer, you would have found a hacksaw and a pickaxe with my prints on them too. Fuller had been taking my tools for years. That's another reason we'd been feuding." Bill countered.
"Another perfectly reasonable explanation." Shawn added.
"Just one more thing, the rope used to hang Mr. Fuller matches rope from a boat belonging to..." Lassie began till Bill cut him off.
"Let me guess. Me." He joked and he began to laugh with Shawn and Gus joining in, but I could tell he was going to say that.
"That's crazy." Gus told before he continued to laugh.
"Mr. G." Shawn added.
"Guys." I told making Shawn and Gus look at me and I shook my head no and they noticed Lassie and Juliet weren't laughing.
"Wait. You mean it really was mine? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!" Bill began to speak as he stood up from shock. "Look, I just said that to be funny. I have no idea how it got there."
"I am sorry, Mr. Guster, the evidence is strong enough. You have the right to remain silent." Lassie began as he walked behind Bill and began to cuff him
"What?" Bill questioned.
"You give up that right, anything you say..."
"No, wait!" Winnie exclaimed as she stood up to try and do something.
"You can't arrest me!"
"...and will be used against you in a court of law."
"I'm a deacon in a church!"
"You have a right to an attorney." Lassie told before leading Bill out of the door.
"What will the Lord say?" Bill questioned as they left.
"This kids and their murder intentions?" I suggested since I didn't know what to say.
'This is not good.'

We walked into Henry's kitchen after the whole police station fiasco, and Gus pulled out a chair for his mother to sit on.
"It's very nice of you to invite us over." Winnie told.
"Oh, Winnie, it's the least I could do. Now when is Bill gonna be released from custody?" Henry asked.
"Soon I hope. A thing like this could be devastating though to somebody with delicate health and weak disposition."
"We're gonna get Dad out before anything can happen to him." Gus told.
"I was talking about you. Your father's strong as an ox, but you... Lord knows you have enough stress to deal with as it is."
"Why is there so many fish decor?" Angie questioned quietly.
"Henry likes to fish."
"That's why you and Peter are so good at it."
"Yeah."
"Mrs. G., you have my word, everything will be fine. We're gonna take this case." Shawn told as Gus began to sat next to his mother.
"Yeah. Ash and Spencer will help as well." He told.
"What?" We both asked.
"Your helping. Obviously." He stated making Henry get my attention.
"Shawn, Ash, Spencer, how about we get some food together here?" Henry told making the four of us walk towards the fridge and began to whisper to one another. "Maybe you oughta pass on this one."
"I can't, Dad. I owe it to them. You agree with me right Ash?"
"I actually agree with Henry on this." I confessed.
"Ash!"
"When it comes to the field, they have me and Spence make sure not to have our feelings get in the way."
"We actually break down and panic about the others safety, hence them holding us back a bit." Spencer added as Henry began to take the leftovers from the fridge out.
"Look, the Gusters are nice people, okay? They invite you over for dinner at 6:00. They don't serve till 6:30. So what? The point is, as a rule, you never wanna get involved in a case where personal relationships are involved. Ash and Spencer are proof that their job follows that procedure." Henry explained.
"Well there was one time I killed like two people cause they kidnapped Spence and I knocked out a lot more."
"This is why they try and keep up back as long as they can."
"Still shows you don't get involved with a case that has personal relationships involved." Henry stated.
Shawn ended up grabbing a pineapple from the fridge before closing the door, and we all joined Henry at the counter by the window.
"Dad, I think I can handle it."
"What if Gus's dad is guilty?" He asked.
"Are you out of your mind? How could you even say that?" He asked making Henry wag his finger at Shawn.
"That's what I mean. Right there, Shawn. You've already made your decision irrespective of the facts. You have already compromised this case."
"Compromised? Why? Because I'm not afraid of my own emotional attachment? I'll have you know that I view that as a tool in my problem-solving, not a liability."
"It is that exact kind of lame-ass thinking... I can see why you were never a detective." Henry stated.
"And I can see why you ended up a divorced detective." Shawn stated making the two glare yay each other before me and Shawn checked out watches. "My God. We went almost three hours without having an argument."
"It's our best holiday in years, huh?"
"Should I add this to the records list?" I asked.
"If it's beaten anything." Shawn told making me nod.
