[Jaemin POV]

I came to school like always and when I arrived, I saw Jeno, Haechan, and Renjun also arrived. "Yow, what's up, bro" Haechan greeted me when I got out of my car. "I'm good. Where's Jisung, Chenle, and Mark hyung?" I asked them. "Probably late again" Jeno replied then suddenly we were surrounded by girls again. "Oppa, please be my partner for tomorrow" all of them shouted like that. "Tomorrow?" I asked my members while frowning. "Do you forget that tomorrow we have a valentine's event?" Jeno looked at me in disbelief. "Ah, you're right" I answered him. "Jeno oppa, Jaemin oppa, please be my partner" they yelled again, I just ruffled my hair in frustration. "Can't you leave them alone? They will pick their own partner. Stop begging at them. It makes us sick of all of you" Haechan said and they became silent. "Move" I said with a cold tone and they quickly gave us some spot to walk. When we walked past the crowd, I saw the girl that I bumped into last week. She looked at me but she didn't do anything. She just looked at me then walked away. Then I suddenly remember what Jisung said yesterday "She's different" I thought Jisung was right. I was spacing out then Jeno tapped my back. "You okay, man? You seemed spacing out" "I'm alright" I said and walked again with them.

[Y/N POV]

When I arrived, I saw a bunch of girls surrounded something and I thought it must be the NCT. Then when I was walked past the crowd, I saw the cold boy that I bumped into, he looked at me but I didn't care and walked away. I was walking alone in the corridor when I heard someone call my name "Y/N" I turned around and it was Chenle. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "Do you have a partner already for tomorrow?" he asked me. I was about to answer him but someone took me with him. "Yah, let me go" I said but he didn't stop. He brought me to an empty classroom. "What do you want?" I asked him who still had his back to me then he turned around. "Jisung?" I looked at him. "I'm sorry for dragging you but will you be my partner for tomorrow?" he said with his deep voice. "Um..."I was thinking. "It's alright if you don't want to" he looked at me. "Umm... let me think first. I'll tell you after school. Is that alright?" I asked him and his face lit up again. "Sure, I'll wait for you at the main gate" he said and I nodded. "See you later, Y/N" he said and exited the classroom. "What a weird guy" I chuckled then walked to my first class.

[Time Skip – Lunch]

"What's wrong with you?" I asked Winter who had a pouting face since this morning. "I have to be Chenle partner again" she said while stomping her feet. "Why did you accept him then?" I asked her. "Idk, as well. If I didn't accept him then I don't have a partner for tomorrow" she said. "Jen---" she quickly covered my mouth. "Why?" I asked her confused. "Didn't you see who is beside our table?" she said and turned to my left only to meet NCT members sitting next to us. "Ah... sorry" I said to Winter. "But if you let me complete my word, he probably would ask you" I chuckled and Winter gave me her deadliest glare. We were eating our food peacefully then a girl came to the table next to us. "Hey, babe" the girl said and sat on one of the NCT member's laps. "Who is she?" I asked Winter. "She is Mark's girlfriend, Mina" she whispered to me and I just nodded.

[Jaemin POV]

We were eating our lunch peacefully then Mina suddenly appeared and sat on Mark hyung's lap. I just rolled my eyes. "Hey babe" Mina said. "What's wrong?" Mark hyung asked her. "Can you accompany me to the mall today? I want to buy a new dress for tomorrow's event" she said while doing the aegyo that made me, Jisung, and Jeno almost threw up. "Are you alright, boys?" she asked us. "Yeah, we're fine" Jeno answered her. "So who will become your partner, Jaemin?" she asked me. "No one" I coldly answered her. "How about Na—" I cut her. "I don't have interest in her so just tell her to find another man" I said and stood up. "Where are you going, hyung?" Jisung asked me. "Somewhere" then I left them. I went to the rooftop then sat on the bench. Actually, I wanted to ask someone to become my partner but I didn't know how and who should I ask. Then I heard someone come to the rooftop. I turned around and I saw the girl that I bumped into. "Ah... I'm sorry. I thought no one was here" she said and was about to go but I spoke up "It's alright, you can stay here" I saw she smiled. "Can I sit here?" she asked me and I nodded. There was an awkward silence between us but then she suddenly said something "Should I accept him?" I looked at her puzzled. "ah... I was talking with myself" she replied. "Do you have a partner already?" she asked me but I shook my head. "Why don't you ask one?" she looked at me. "I don't care about this event" I replied then looked away. "Ah... anyways, my name is Y/N" she stretched out her hand I shook it, I didn't know why I did that. "Jaemin" I said. "Ah, so you're Jaemin the one that Jisung told me" she said and I looked at her. "Jisung told you about me but why?" I asked her. "Nah, he said you're always cold to other people so that I shouldn't be sad when you treat me that way" she smiled. "Anyways, did someone ask you to become your partner?" I asked her. "Jisung" she shortly replied to me. "Ah... I see. Just accept him. He won't do anything bad to you" I said. "I know. He always treats me sweetly and I feel comfortable around him. He's like my brother" she smiled. "Do you like him?" I didn't know why but I asked her. "I like him as my brother" she smiled. "Ah... I have to go. Nice to see you, Jaemin. See you soon" she said and left the rooftop. I looked at her figure until it disappeared. Welp, she's nice and cute.

[Y/N POV]

I went to the main gate to answer Jisung and when I went there I saw him playing with his phone. "Hey" I patted his shoulder. "Oh, hi" he said while sliding his phone into his pocket. "Sorry for making you wait" I smiled. "Nah, it's fine" he replied. "So? Have you thought about it?" he asked me and I nodded. "What's the answer?" he looked nervous for some reason. "Can you bend down a little bit?" I asked him and he did it, so I whispered to his ear "Yes, I want to be your partner" then he smiled so brightly after I said that. "Thank you so much, Y/N" he thanked me. "Let me take you home" he said and I just nodded. After 25 minutes of riding, we arrived at my apartment. "Thank you" I smiled. "No problem, do you want me to pick you up tomorrow?" he asked me. "Umm.... No thanks. Winter said she will pick me up tomorrow morning" I said. "I see, then see you tomorrow, princess" he said and it made me blush. "You're cute when you're blushing" he said and pinched my cheeks softly. "Okay, go now" I said while smiling, he just chuckled and drove away.
