12. Absent

[Jisung POV]

It's been 3 days that Y/N was absent from class, I tried to dial her number multiple times but she didn't pick it up; while Winter was still in Japan for her sister's wedding. I was so worried about Y/N. I really wanted to go to her house but I had a lot of things to finish at dad's office. I was so frustrated, thus I kicked the table in front of me and made all students in our class look at me in an odd way. "WHAT!?" I yelled at them then Chenle came patting my back "You alright?" "NO" I ruffled my hair in frustration. "Hey, let's go to the cafeteria, all hyung have been waiting for us" Chenle said then I followed him.

[Jaemin POV]

I saw Jisung and Chenle come to us. Jisung looked so frustrated since yesterday. "What took you guys so long?" Jeno asked them then Chenle pointed to Jisung. "What's wrong with him this time?" Renjun asked. "He kicked the table in the classroom and didn't want to come here at first" Chenle explained. "What? Is it because of Y/N again?" Haechan asked and I lifted up my head when I heard her name. "I think so" Chenle said while Jisung was still silent. "What happened to her?" Mark hyung asked. "She hasn't come to school for 3 days and the teacher said he was sick but when Jisung called her, she didn't pick it" "Jisung wanted to go to her house to check her but he has no time for that" Chenle explained it to us. "Hey, believe me, she is alright. She probably rests right now, that's why she didn't pick your call" Jeno tried to comfort him. "REST FOR 3 F*CKING DAYS? ARE YOU CRAZY HYUNG?" Jisung got up and was about to leave but Mark hyung held his wrist. "I don't understand why you become this but try to think with cold-head. You won't find the solution if you keep being hot-headed" I said to him without looking at him, then he sat down again. "What's Jaemin said was right, you should calm down then think about the solution" Haechan said. Jisung just ruffled his hair and went away. "Where are you going?" Chenle yelled at him. "Rooftop" he said and left the cafeteria. "I never see him like that before" Jeno said. "Yeah, even when he was still with Karina" Mark hyung said. "Anyways, where had you been 3 days ago?" Haechan asked me. "Yeah, where did you go?" Jeno looked at me. "What do you guys talking about?" I looked at them. "You told us that you were going to the toilet but until school end, you didn't come back. Where did you go, Na Jaemin?" Mark hyung asked me with a firm tone. I took a deep breath then looked at them "I went home" "What? And why didn't you tell us, hyung? We were f*cking worried about you" Chenle said then got nagged by Renjun "Watch your language, man" "Sorry" Chenle apologized. "I felt unwell, okay. That's why after I went to the toilet I immediately went to my locker and packed my stuff then went home to rest. No need to worry about me. I'm not a kid anymore" I lied to them while still keeping my poker face so they would believe me. "But next time please tell us, so we won't get worried about you" Jeno said and I just nodded. "But... I called your mom and she said you didn't go home" Renjun said. "She didn't see me when I went home" I replied and they nodded.

[Jaemin POV]

"Where are you guys going now?" Haechan asked us. "I'm going to my dad's office" Jisung replied. "Can I go there as well? I don't have anything to do at home" Chenle asked Jisung and Jisung just nodded. "How about you, hyung?" Chenle asked us. "I'll go on a date with Mina" Mark hyung replied. "I'm going to Haechan's house to sleepover" Renjun said. "How about you two?" Haechan asked Jeno and I. "My mom told me to accompany her to meet her friends, I hate it but I have to do it" Jeno said while rolling his eyes. "You? Why don't you say anything?" Renjun asked me. "I'll just be at home" I replied while taking out my belongings from my locker. "I'll go now" I said and left them behind. Actually, I wanted to go to Y/N's house to check her condition. I was a little bit worried about her but before going to her apartment, I went to the Dream café and bought porridge for her.

[Jaemin POV]

I rang her bell twice then I heard she yelled from inside "WAIT" then she opened the door for me. she looked so pale. "How could you still yell in this kind of condition?" I asked her. "What do you want?" she asked me. "Have you eaten?" I changed the topic. "I haven't, why?" she looked at me. "Could you at least let me in? or should I stand here all day?" I raised one of my brows then she let me in. "Why didn't you eat?" I asked her. "I was so weak even for walk" she replied then I touched her forehead. She had a fever. "Yah, you're burning, idiot. Do you want to die or what?" I scolded her. "I'm alright. I have been like this since 2 days ago" she casually replied to me. "You crazy, let's go" I held her wrist and took her with me. "Where are we going?" she asked when I drove away from her house. "To the hospital, what else" I replied still focusing on the road. "But I'm fine" she said but I didn't reply to her. "Are you deaf? I said I'm fine" she looked at me then I stopped the car "Stop saying bullsh*t. you're not okay" I said while looking directly into her eyes. "But why you're worried about me so much?" she asked. "I don't know as well" I said while starting to drive again. "Weird" she mumbled. "I can hear that" I said and she looked away.
