Chapter 12

LUKE'S POV

"Where's James? I haven't seen him since math class" I asked. "Yeah same, but when he walked in during Maths him and Bethany were almost laughing" Abbi said. "Yeah same, have they made up or something?" Jai asked. I just stood there thinking about where he could be..ah now I know where he might be! I started shaking my head when Jai said "What's wrong Luke?"

"I think I know where he might be..he's with...he's with Bethany" I said through clenched teeth. "You know what? I bet he is" Abbi said. "Ofcourse he is with Bethany" I snapped. Abbi took a step back, I think I probably scared her a little. "Then shall we go check" Jai asked I could tell he really wanted to see where James was. "Yeah, they're probably outside by the benches as usual" I suggested. We started walking outside when we saw 3 familiar figures sitting on the bench by the tree.

"Oh my god. He is with Beth" Abbi looked shocked as we were walking towards them.

"Thank you so much for understanding James, I feel so much better knowing that at least you are on my side now" Beth said as she hugged James. I couldn't Believe what I was hearing and seeing! "Oh so you're supporting HER now James" I said bitterly. Bethany and James looked shocked as Ryan slapped his forehead.. Weird kid.

"Bro, don't you think this has gone on for too long and it's blown out of proportion" James tried to reason. "No, bro she ruined our friendship group and made Lucy leave, when clearly she didn't want to" I raised my voice a little. "Luke, at least hear what Bethany has to say about it, then you'll understand" James pleaded. "No, what is there to understand, you know what I'm leaving bye" I said and I walked away leaving Jai and Abbi standing there.

BETHANY'S POV

I couldn't take it anymore James had an argument with Luke.. over ME! I felt so bad that I was the cause of this. I sat down on the bench next to Ryan as he gave me a side hug. James just looked at me with sad eyes. "I'm sorry Beth, I tried but he won't listen" James said apologising. Now I felt even more bad. "James no please don't make me feel even more bad, its not your fault so don't beat yourself up about it" I said.

ABBIE'S POV

What.. What were they talking about? What was James talking about when he said listen to what Beth has to say? What does she have to say anyway? These questions were racing through my mind, what does James know that I don't?

"Umm, Beth?" I said and Bethany looked up. "Yeah?" She replied. "Why? Why did you tell Lucy to leave?" I asked quietly. "Because you guys were being selfish and only cared about Lucy staying and not her happiness" James replied for Beth. "What do you mean?" Jai asked James.

"Don't you both get it? Bethany told Lucy to go because it was her dream since forever to become a hair stylist she wanted to follow in her mothers footsteps, it was her passion and when she got the opportunity of a lifetime Lucy just needed one of us to say go live your dream and she would! Bethany was thinking about LUCY'S happiness and not being selfish, WE were the ones who wanted her to give up her dream just because we wanted her to stay with us, if she did she probably wouldn't have been as successful as she is now, she's living the dream, sure we miss her but we need to think about her happiness she's our best friend and if you really loved her you would want this for her" James explained.

Suddenly I felt really stupid. I ran over and hugged Bethany really tightly. She looked taken back. "I'm really sorry for being such a horrible friend, I can't believe I didn't think about this! I'm so sorry Beth you must have been put through hell the past few days please forgive me, and for the record I really missed you so much!" I said hoping she would forgive me for being a horrible human being to her.

"Hey, hey calm down! I was never mad at you just a little upset but I could never get mad at you Abbi you're one of my best friends" Bethany said as she tightened the hug making it hard for me to breath. "I love you Beth!" I replied. Suddenly we felt another person hug us tightly too and I turned around to see Jai. "Beth i'm also really sorry for everything! I was a horrible friend too" Jai said as he hugged us.

"Hey! How about a group hug" James suggested. "Good idea lets join them James" Ryan replied. Now we all looked like a bunch of crazy people hugging the life out of eachother. Aww this is why I love out friendship group.

BETHANYS POV

"Hey this is the last week before summer holidays! Why don't we all go to the beach and have a party on friday?" Jai suggested. "Yeah but, Skip, Beau and Luke will be there, and we aren't on talking terms right now" I said. "You leave that to me Beth ill explain everything to Skip" Abbi said. "And I'll explain everything to Beau and I'll try to pacify Luke aswell but I can't guarantee anything about Luke he's always hated you" Jai added. "Yeah and I still don't know why" I said quietly whilst sighing.

It was finally Friday night and Daniel and Beau were back to normal with Bethany everything was normal again but Luke still didn't like Bethany.

BETHANY'S POV

I was getting ready for the beach party with Abbi, I was wearing a white strapless sundress that was covered with light blue and dark blue flowers it was really pretty it flowed beautifully and fit perfectly just a little above my knees. I was wearing a cyan blue bikini underneath my dress incase we all went for a swim later. My hair were curled and reached just a little above my waist. I had light makeup on with waterproof eyeliner and mascara.

Abbi was also wearing a sundress but hers was light brown with creamed colour flowers. She was wearing light makeup aswell with her hair straightened. We both wore our gladiator sandals and were waiting for the boys to pick us up.

I heard a car horn go off and I quickly grabbed a towel and my iPhone and went outside with Abbi.

"Whoa where did you get this van from?" I asked Beau. "Aah well you know.. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows plenty of other guys" he chuckled at his own joke. I stuck my tongue out at him. "Whatever" me and Abbi got in the van and saw all the guys seated including Ryan. Abbi sat on Daniels lap at the front of the car and I frowned there was only one available seat left which was next to ..Luke.
