Fatin's Temptation

I wake Shelby up an hour into an episode of Lucifer since I was worried about her dad calling her phone.
"Shelby?" I keep kissing her forehead until she finally opens her eyes.
"Unless you have a really good reason other than all these kisses to wake me up I'll-"
"It's getting late"
"Ugh, how long have I been sleepin'?"
"Hours"
"Hours?! How late is late?"
"It's only 5 but you should get home in case your father calls Fatin this time"
"10 more minutes?"
"Come on" I kiss her again. "Wakey wakey" She groans, sitting up to cuddle me.
"I'm getting better at the sneaking around, he never calls"
"Never say never" she smiles and gets off the bed standing up to stretch.
"Where's Helsby? I miss him sleeping with us?"
"Probably with Marty and Aaron"
"He's still here?"
"Yep"
"Do you like him?"
"He's a good guy and hasn't treated Marty badly, they've been together a few months and I've not had to worry"
"I bet he's scared of messing up with you as Marty's best friend" Laughing I throw a pillow at her.
"I'm not that bad, am I?"
"You're a big softie really" I smile and she leans over the bed to kiss me.
"I walked in on them whilst they were kissing" Shelby laughs as goes back to fixing her hair in my mirror. "I bet that was real fun"
"That's how I met him, the second appearance was when he came over for dinner to meet Marty's parents"
"And re meeting you"
"Can you believe Marty made me apologise"
"Martha is the sweetest soul, I can imagine that you pulled a couple faces before saying sorry"
"He's good for Marty, she's coming out of her little turtle shell"
"I'm glad, she's always been supportive of us both Toni, even when you hid it from her"
I cough and she looks at me through the mirror.
"When we hid it from her. She's your friend too"
She shrugs and goes back to putting on her makeup.
"You're going home right?"
"That's the plan"
"You're putting on makeup?"
"I've been out with Fatin remember"
"True. When will I see you again?"
"Monday"
"So far away!"
"I have church tomorrow and I have to practice for my upcoming pageant, I can't have my daddy being suspicious of why I'm avoiding it for no reason"
"I'll miss you"
"You're so soppy Toni, honestly people would think it's me"
"I'm head over heels for you babyy" we laugh and Shelby finally finishes up and grabs her jacket.
"Will I ever get that back?"
"Your jacket...that I've never left the house without...that I now officially claim as mine? No you'll have to pray for this back"
"Ha ha funny, do you want me to walk you out?"
"I got it, see you Monday?"
"I love you"
"I love you too" she kisses me and leaves my room.

I spend the rest of Saturday and most of Sunday catching up with homework, finishing another Lucifer season and watching movies with Helsby.

It was Sunday night when I get a message from Dot.
'Have you seen Fatin recently?'
'Does Friday night count from Shelby?'
'No, has she spoke to you?'
'Not since yesterday morning, What's wrong with her?'
'No one's see or heard from her since'
'Shelby had to go pick up her phone yesterday evening?'
'She said that Fatin's brother let her in and she just went and got it herself'
'Did she have a fight with Leah?'
'Leah isn't responding either'
'I'll call Leah'

I give myself a minute and then call Leah's phone first, after trying for a least 5 minutes she finally picks up.
"Toni, whats wrong?" She sounded either really upset, really pissed off or both.
"Where's Fatin?"
"Why should I know"
"Because-"
"She's not my problem" she ends the calls and I'm just sat in shock.

'Dot, They've had a fight'
'Where would she have gone?'
'I don't know, do her parents know?'
''I don't know'
'Maybe she'll be back?'
'Missing for over a day? It's unlike Fatin. She'd die without her skincare routine or dental hygiene'
'Give her until the morning and then we'll go searching for her'
I try calling Fatin's phone a bunch of times but it went straight to voicemail. I didn't sleep much that night since I was so worried about her. I told Marty all about it and she was just as worried so she slept in my bed for the night. I eventually fell asleep around 4am with Marty next to me also fast asleep.
