The U.A staff were already up and early, as of right now they were gathered around the coffee machine that was in the room. Most of the teachers grabbed a cup of the brown liquid, Aizawa gulping it down in an instant. It was only 5:30 in the morning, and as they had anticipated it seemed Izuku was going to take it easy. They were used to seeing the boy already up at this time but seeing him sleep with Mei cuddling into him on the monitors had made the stress they had experienced lessen.
Though it was supposed to be a relaxing day, the staff were already discussing something of great importance, that being the performance of their classes and more specifically Izuku's.
"He countered everyone, he knew their capabilities and took out the biggest players." Vlad looked into the mug of coffee in his hand the steam rising into his face as he spoke out loud to the other teachers. His class' fighting yesterday was outstanding yet it seemed like even when they had gotten the advantage Izuku destroyed it the second they tried to capitalize.
"Yet he kept Kendo in, surely he knows that she could be one of the bigger enemies going forward, she has the skill to lead the hero team and is sensible so why would he leave her in the game?" Midnight looked at the teachers searching for an answer they had seen Kendo step up. She was the leader Bakugou should have been but Izuku still hadn't taken her out opting instead to keep her in.
The teachers couldn't come with an answer for that question, had they been in Izuku's position they would have tried to get rid of Kendo the second they had the opportunity. Snipe opened his mouth just to close it, he had an idea but the more he thought of it, it didn't make sense. Everyone was stumped until Nezu spoke up standing on top of Aizawa's shoulder a cup of tea in his paw.
"I believe he kept her in because while she is a huge asset to the hero team, she may also provide Midoryia the perfect chance to catch them by surprise." Nezu looked at the staff seeing as he had gotten their attention. "Kendo like Midnight stated is sensible, she acts on reason instead of emotion like Bakugou does, after what we've seen last night Kendo will surely cut back on expending any more manpower when so many were injured yesterday. It would also make sense to cut back since they surely had seen Midoryia's injured state, so most likely they believe he will be recovering. Now from what I've seen he may use this to set up even more plans for the future."
"Wait hold on that doesn't make sense." Power Loader cut in causing everyone to look at him, no one really questioned Nezu's assessments because they had always been right, though Power Loader did, "I don't think he'll do anything today, or at least not know, he did promise Hatsume that he would take it easy." Power loader had remembered the conversation between Mei and Izuku up to the promise he had made.
Nezu looked at power loader before taking a sip of his tea thinking rapidly while All Might jumped in. "Do you really think so Power Loader? Young Midoryia isn't the same, his promise could mean nothing, from my perspective he wouldn't let an opportunity like this go to waste." All Might couldn't agree, these past few days had shown him just how cunning and opportunistic Izuku could be, so surely he would do it when the heroes believed he was resting.
"No All Might Power Loader is correct, Midoryia might not do much of anything today." Nezu had thought of Power Loader's words and he connected the dots, "From what is set as common standards in the world breaking a promise is akin to betrayal, I don't think even before his change Midoryia has betrayed another for his own benefit, not to mention they do have a relationship, perhaps the first real one Midoryia has had with another person, so fracturing that will not be on Izuku's list of choices, in fact, he will do just the opposite."
