'N... no... Why?'

Japan was engulfed in flames. Families butchered, heroes torn limb from limb, villains pulverized and dead. Izuku saw it all with his own eyes. His vision was overcome with fire and destruction through the thin blurriness from the tears in his eyes. His clothes were in tatters, his mask broken with shards spilling off his bruised and bloody face. His entire body was covered in blood as he limped. His left foot dragged behind while he warded his way through the streets of destroyed buildings.

The rubble no longer moved and the only sounds were that of the crackling fire and distant screams from the few people who had survived the war he had started. His heart ached with fear, or was it despair? He had no way of discerning the two at the moment. 'I- h-have t-to see.' He shook his head, hair spilling into his vision. Reaching to move it Izuku saw the reminder that he no longer had a right arm, its stump closed by his already exhausted regeneration quirk. Bringing the arm back down he kept walking the streets passing many people who had been swept up by his plans. A pair of feminine-looking legs, the skin torn and bloody the muscles and tissue that would be connecting it to the waist spilling out from the sides. He couldn't find the upper half of the person and he wasn't going to search for it. He couldn't describe the rest of the corpses strewn about, there were too many. All he could do was note some of the more notable features such as the head of Edge shot, the ears of Miruko, and the bisected body of Gang Orca. Just some of the many pro heroes that had fallen.

He didn't care about those who had died. He could no longer do anything for them. That however had him think. What went wrong? Racking his brain he thought of what exactly happened in the past three days, but all he could come up with was how he missed a few crucial steps in his plan. "Gah!" Holding his head he was assaulted by a headache that threaten to split his head. It was all fuzzy, rather it was as if those memories didn't exist.

He decided not to dwell on it as he stepped towards his final destination, U.A Highschool. Looking he saw the once proclaimed invincible steel wall that formed the barrier in pieces. Walking up the stairs he had to maneuver past several dead bodies, civilian and hero alike. Cementoss, Ectoplasm, Aizawa, and even Lunch Rush were on the ground. Aizawa had his head caved in, the scarf that always hung around his neck tied around Ectoplasm's throat said hero's chest now sporting a large hole. Then it was Cementoss the man's body broken into separate pieces, and lunch rush who was missing all 4 of his limbs.

Moving past them he entered what used to be the school grounds his shoes soaking in the ocean of blood. The windows of the school were destroyed while the area of the dorms was engulfed in flames. Part of the H-shaped building was slowly falling off crashing into the ground. Walking to the doors which had been torn off their hinges he witnessed the hallways similarly covered in blood. The bodies of students, emergency workers, villains, and heroes lay with various causes of their demise. He scanned the room before he slowly moved to the infirmary, holding the frame of the door he peeked inside.

Of course, it was not spared, medical equipment was all over the floor yet no sign of Recovery Girl he did, however, see many of his old classmates, Iida, Todoroki, Uraraka, Asui... The list went on, 'A last stand?'

Shaking his head Izuku closed his eyes his head flaring in pain. Opening his eyes he took a shaky step back moving toward the stairs to enter the second floor. Nothing changed in the scenery except for the few people who sat in the blood of their friends and colleagues. Moving his head from side to side he tried to see if there were any people in the classrooms but there was nobody. Alive at least. He did spot something that caught his eye, Midnight's corpse clothes were torn. It was clear she was assaulted violently but that wasn't all. A few feet above her Nezu hung with a noose around his neck body swaying. He was the smartest mammal alive, perhaps dying that way was preferable to the alternative at least in Nezu's mind.
