~~~Damian's point of view~~~
I couldn't move. Everything hurt as though I'd been repeatedly thrown into a wall. Where was I? It sounded like I could hear waves. There isn't an ocean in Gotham. Was it the river? With a great amount of difficulty, I opened my eyes. The sky was blue and wisps of white clouds drifted across the open sky. I struggled to raise my arm to block the sun, and sand fell from the folds in my gloves. This definitely wasn't Gotham.
"Good, you're awake," A woman spoke. I turned my head towards the direction the voice came from. It sounded familiar. I stared at the approaching feet of a girl. She kicked up the sand as she walked, and her long (H/c) locks bounced with every step she took. She was dressed in a flowy white dress and her feet were bare.
"(Y/n)?" My voice was scratchy and dry, as if I hadn't used it in weeks. The girl knelt next to me and helped me up. The moment I sat up, she had her lips on mine, but I pushed her off me. When I studied her features more closely, I realized this couldn't be my (Y/n) because instead of the beautiful (E/c) eyes I loved, her eyes were gold.
"What's wrong Damian?" The girl looked almost hurt that I had pushed her away. (Y/n)'s hurt expression immediately had me feeling guilty and I wanted to scoop her up in my arms. I moved closer to her then stopped. Wait...this wasn't her. It was just someone who looked like (Y/n).
"Where am I?" I glanced around at my surroundings. I was on a beach. Palm trees decorated the edge where the sand met dirt and grass. Clear water lapped at the shore in small waves.
"You're in Heaven silly," the (Y/n) look alike exclaimed cheerfully.
"Right..." That's right. I died protecting (Y/n). Seeing as this girl is clearly an imposter, she must still be alive. I glared at the sand beneath me. I was still in my Robin Uniform, but there wasn't any blood, the fabric was simply torn up.
"Will it make you happy to know that Adrien Wolf kept his promise to you?"
"What?" I whipped my head up to face the girl. She gestured to the ocean and we both waded in until the water covered our ankles. She dropped something into the water and a scene played. Adrien had (Y/n) in his arms, and her face was covered by his coat. He was guarding her as he ran from reporters and some of their more intense fans.
"He's taking care of her, just like you asked." The girl dropped something else in the water, and this time I saw that it was a tiny shell. A new scene played. Adrien had picked up (Y/n) and they both fell into a pool in a location I didn't recognize. When they resurfaced, (Y/n) was laughing and she splashed water in Wolf's face.
"Where are they?" I couldn't help but be jealous. I had died saving her, but all I wanted was to be with her. Wolf was taking my moments with her.
"They're in the penthouse they live in. They moved in together. Isn't that just wonderful?" They had moved in together. She no longer lived in Gotham. She no longer stayed in the manor. She no longer slept in the room next to mine. "This is the last one. Then you'll be caught up on events." She dropped one more shell into the water. It rippled and a new image showed. (Y/n) was tossing and turning in her bed, screaming out for me. In moments, Wolf had barged in, flicking on the lights. He was trying to shake her awake. (Y/n)'s eyes opened in a fright.
~~~Your point of view~~~
You woke to someone shaking you from your nightmare. You could feel warm tears making their way down your cheeks quickly and you were breathing heavily. "You're ok. You're ok." Adrien repeated calmly. He held you tightly and gripped onto the sleeve of his shirt. "You're awake and you're safe."
"A-Adrien?" you gasped.
"I'm here," he assured you, not loosening his hold on you.
"I miss him so much," a sob got caught in your throat and you choked slightly.
"I know you do," Adrien sighed. "I know you miss him."
"What do I do?" you cried into Adrien's shoulder.
"You just keep going. I know you can do it. Just keep going and everything will be fine." Not once did Adrien say "until Damian gets back." It was like he knew something more had happened. Your heart pounded in your chest as you looked up at the blue eyes of Adrien Wolf.
"Adrien, what do you know?" you whispered calmly. He hesitated. "What do you know?" You asked a bit louder this time. There's no way he knew the boy's secret right?
"I don't know if Damian wanted me to tell you, but..." Adrien paused and considered his choices for a moment before continuing, "that night at Melody's when Damian surprised you. He told me that he knew something bad was coming, and he asked me to take care of you if anything happened." You relaxed slightly. He didn't know, but you still weren't sure what to do. Where did you go from here?
"I see, then I guess I should fulfill his last wish and let you take care of me." You let your tired body rest against Adrien's.
~~~Damian's point of view~~~
"Why can't we hear them?" I asked.
"That's simply not how this magic works," the girl shrugged. She kicked her foot through the water, catching me off guard. The image disappeared and I fell backwards into the surf. I stood up again, glaring at her. "Let's get you some other clothes." She started towards a small opening in a pile of rocks on the other end of the beach. I followed her. When we arrived, she had a simple white shirt and pair of white pants. "You can change while I go get you some food," the girl stated before turning and leaving the way she came. I looked at the clothes resting at the foot of the large canopy bed. I pulled off my soaked uniform and put on the dry clothes.
I found myself sitting in front of a fire with a bowl of stew and a plate of bread. I didn't really feel like eating. After all if I was already dead, I didn't need to eat anyway. I needed to think of a way to get off this island and back to (Y/n), the real (Y/n). "You haven't eaten any." The fake (Y/n) came back, holding a basket of tropical fruits. "You know it hurts my feelings when you don't even try my cooking." I looked down at the stew and took a small bite. It was good. It was warm. I turned around and the fake (Y/n) sat herself in my lap, facing me. "I know you still love her, but seeing as you're stuck here. Do you think you could fall in love with me?"
