3rd POV (23 years before the start of the anime.)

Gedeon had long found out about how to break the seal, however, he could never find the pieces of the coffin of eternal darkness, he knew how to get goddess blood, just go kill Elizabeth for the umpteenth time and collect her blood. He had searched everywhere but he could never find any pieces except for one, the part that Meliodas used like a sword for whatever reason that Gedeon couldn't figure out. He was currently under Meliodas' very nose, he was currently in Liones. He had avoided coming here ever since Meliodas showed up here but at that point he was desperate to get any part of the coffin, even if he had to take it from Meliodas himself.

"Hey have you heard? Apparently Vampires have taken over Edinburgh, I've heard that all the citizens were killed except for the holy knights which were turned into Vampires!" A holy knight spoke to another, this caught Gedeon's attention, 'if what they are saying is true then... mom' Gedeon thought, no longer caring for his own presence he sprouted his massive wings and burst into the air, heading straight towards Edinburgh.

He had only been flying a few hours before arriving where Edinburgh used to be, only to find a warped mass surrounded by darkness, but something wasn't right, he could feel the conflict going on. There was only one vampire who he cared for and he was worried, because where he could feel Meliodas, he felt his mother too. He shook his head angrily before darting towards the magic, he concealed his presence and landed behind some cover to eavesdrop,

"I already know... that you are not my Zeldris, and who you really are Meliodas." Gelda spoke, "As such I have a favour." She paused, "Please kill me" Gelda finished, Gedeon's eyes widen, before revealing himself, panicked and desperate.

"No! Please..." Gedeon spoke, gaining attention from both of them, both of their eyes widening, "Mom..." Gedeon spoke, just loud enough for them both to hear, Meliodas hadn't heard Gedeon that desperate since his betrayal those thousands of years ago, and Gelda, who had thought her son was dead, she walked over to him and pulled him into a tight embrace,

"Gedeon... My little boy... I... I thought you were dead." Tears starting to prick at Gelda's eyes,

"Why? Why do you want him to kill you? I got here a soon as I heard of the return of the Vampires, I missed you so much, and even if dad didn't say it, I know he misses you too... So why?" Gedeon asked trying to fight back the tears, only for Meliodas to cut in,

"No Gelda, I will not kill you, as my brother's lover and my nephew's mother, I cannot let you die, and by my blade at that, if you are adamant about this, then I can seal you away again until Zeldris eventually gets back to this world, you will be released. Even then, do you really want to go through with that? You are the only family member that he wants or can talk to, no matter how much I try, I sadly don't think he will ever forgive me." Meliodas spoke, his mood dampening further as he finished his sentence,

"In that case yes, please seal me away, Meliodas, I thank you, and even if he doesn't want you there, please, always be there for my little blood sucker." Gelda spoke, earning a determined nod from the man and a questioning look from Gedeon, "And Gedeon, my child, please try to find it in your heart to forgive Meliodas. And promise me, you won't try to break the demonic seal. I would love to be a family again, but I can't have you bringing back the holy war just so we can be a family again." Gelda finished, leaving a shocked, hurt and confused Gedeon, he looked down, before nodding,

"I'll try... I love you, mom," Gedeon spoke, tears now streaming down his face, he stepped back and Gelda nodded to Meliodas who cast a spell, creating a huge hole in the ground, Gelda now at the bottom, sealed inside demonic power in a hibernation-like state. (A/N, I might make a spinoff book of sorts where the option Gedeon chooses is different and use this as the turning point, that's only a might though)
