"My hobby? It'd have to be torturing people!"

3rd POV

Gedeon walked onto the grounds before a podium, where the two new Grandmaster's were about to make a speech to him and the crowd of others who hope to become a holy knight apprentice,

"Welcome young men and woman, those who want to become a great holy knight some day. I along with grandmaster Hendrickson shall be putting you through a series of tests to determine weather or not you have the potential to become a holy knight. We will begin once we all reach the training area just outside the castle to our right, make it there on your own and we shall begin." 'Dreyfus' spoke, Gedeon nodded along with the rest and walked out, some looked around confused, others were going straight to looking for it and some like Gedeon, already knew were it is. Gedeon swiftly walked over to the arranged training ground and waited for others to arrive.

Eventually around two hundred holy knights had found their way here, essentially getting rid of some who couldn't really end up becoming one anyways. "The first test will be to see if you have potential in magic. There are two ways of going about this, if someone can demonstrate their magic, even only a little they can pass the test. That or we can have a holy knight mage to see if you have potential. Now. If there is anyone who can show us their magic, please step forward." Dreyfus questioned, Gedeon and about twenty others stepped forward. One at a time they are called forward, tell them their names, then demonstrate what they can do. One after the other, until it was Gedeon's turn, Dreyfus points towards the boy and spoke,

"You! What is your name and what shall you be demonstrating today?" He spoke, pretending to not know who Gedeon was,

"My name is Rou, my family is from a long line of fire users, so naturally, that shall be the magic I will be using today." Gedeon spoke nonchalantly, he got in a pose and blasted a large amount of fire into the sky, causing the air around everyone to ripple around us from the heat, several murmurs of terrified and amazed people behind him, despite Dreyfus already knowing his potential, he is still surprised he can use his magic to such a degree in such a weakened state.

"I'm impressed, your level of magic use is already on par with a holy knight's capabilities. You have passed the first test with flying colours. I'm looking forward to see how you will do in the other trials." Gedeon nodded and stepped back into the crowd.

It took nearly three hours to test everyone's capabilities besides the ones who demonstrated their powers, this test dwindled the number of candidates down to a hundred and twenty, "Now moving on to the next test. This one will be your time to show off your skill and fighting spirit. If you feel you can demonstrate your skill, you can choose between these three holy knights. One is a brand new holy knight with the rank of crystal. Second is a more experienced holy knight, being an Emerald rank holy knight, and finally. Is the accomplished member of the weird fangs, Ruin. A ruby ranked holy knight. If you feel you are not up to the challenge, once this part of the trial is done, you may challenge an apprentice holy knight. Again, step forward if you feel like you can demonstrate you abilities, step forward and you will be given a standardized weapon of your choosing. This area will be the battlefield so after we have our brave candidates, I ask the rest of you to gather on the outside of the arena space."  Dreyfus finished, Gedeon and only ten others. Instead of him being chosen last, this time he was chosen first, "Rou. Firstly, what kind of weapon would you like?" Drefus asked, not to sure of what he would really ask for,

"If possible grand master, I would like a one-handed, singled edged broadsword." 'Rou' spoke confidently, a knight went to go get a sword to those specifications,
