Third POV

"Wha? hah? The goddesses... are all gone?" Gedeon spoke in shock and disbelief, "This is... quite the news," Gedeon said, barely being able to hide his smile,

"Yeah, in sealing all the demons away, they used up all their power and were forced back to the celestial realm and can't come back because they are effectively dead," Gerheade spoke, Gedeon was completely shocked, but got to thinking,

"I see, just wondering did Dahlia take over once Gloxinia disappeared or what?" Gedeon asked, not feeling any presence that could be one of a fairy king or queen,

"Yeah, Dahlia took over for a while but he disappeared a while back. The current fairy king, Elaine's brother harlequin went missing around four hundred years ago, he must still be able to be the fairy king or hasn't refused the position so another one hasn't been chosen, we just have to hope he returns," Gerheade concluded, Gedeon hummed in thought,

"well, I'm not gonna be sticking around here forever so I could look at for him in my travels, I can't really remember or not but Gerheade, are you proficient enough in mind reading to put the image of him in my mind?" Gedeon asked, earning confused looks from both of them,

"That isn't possible, where did you get the idea that such a thing was possible?" Gerheade asked the demon,

"Your brother could, he did it all the time, it works by not just looking into one's mind but then connecting yours to theirs, then you can share any emotion, memory or picture you can think of, it's quite difficult but any fairy with a lot of natural talent can master it no problem," the demon spoke, shocking both of them,

"I happen to be very naturally gifted, some of the older fairies even compare my abilities to that of the first fairy king, I could give it a try, though I will need some guidance on how to pull something like that off," Elaine spoke, Gedeon nodded before he explained,

"Your powers focus on the ability to read one's mind and soul, although in most situations it is useless, you can do it on yourself as well, if physical contact is established, you can read both our minds at once causing them to link, however, this link is very hard to keep up and very draining so avoid using it in dangerous or heated situations, once you build the link, it is as simple as wanting a certain memory or picture to be copied into my head." The boy explained, Elaine nodded before he continued explaining, "It is pretty much a meditative state so focus and sitting down is best. The action is strictly skin to skin contact and making the contact around the area of a pulse makes it easier, due to the factor, I recommend wrist to wrist contact, I assume that would be the most comfortable way for you to do this," Gedeon finished with a smirk, Elaine looked away, embarrassed but nodded anyways, "Well, lets get this over and done with, I'm starting to get hungry and you don't want to be around me when I'm really feeling hungry," Gerheade knew exactly what the half-vampire half-demon was talking about and quickly nodded, she had seen the hungry version of Gedeon before, the only reason he didn't go on a rampage was because Gloxinia gave him enough blood to calm down, the problem with a hybrid demon like Gedeon can only drink blood and eat souls, a normal demon on the other hand can eat normal food but not Gedeon.

Elaine and Gedeon sat down in front of one another in a meditative pose except their right wrist raised to the other's as both of their eyes were shut in concentration, Gerheade could feel their souls slowly but surely connecting to one another. Once the link was finished, a strained look appeared on Elaine's face as the link sapped her energy quickly, the girl gave the image of Harlequinn in Gedeon's head, but as soon as that happened, the link was severed and Elaine blacked out as Gedeon's eyes shot open as he quickly stood up and spared Elaine a glance before he turned to Gerheade, "She will wake up soon, she will probably be drained for the rest of the day, make sure she gets a bit more food than usual and make sure she is only doing things that put low strain on the body, no fighting, no sudden or fast movements and no magic for the rest of the day. I hate to cut this short here but I'm gonna need to know where the nearest human village is, I didn't eat this morning before I got out of the seal and because human blood is far less powerful than demon blood, I'm gonna need a lot more," Gedeon finished as his eyes flashed between their normal colour and glowing red, Gerheade knew that if he didn't eat soon, he wouldn't be able to control himself, so she quickly pointed to the nearest village, Gedeon smiled and thanked Gerheade before making his wings sprout and dart out of the forest and towards the village.
